IET Wiring Regulations: Electric Wiring for Domestic Installers Paperback – 23 Aug. 2018

This is a superb explanation of the latest update of regulations and is a clear aide-memoire for installers. It's also a good basic understanding for anyone contemplating changes to their existing systems as it allows them to have a meaningful consultation with potential installers, to plan any necessary preparatory work and/or feasibility study. Exactly what I was looking for and would be useful for students & apprentices as well as householders and installers as a pocket manual. Obviously more experienced installers should be capable at this level already but it's always useful to keep a reminder of the basics to hand. This is so inexpensive (kindle version) it can be back up for conversations with customers and assistants or just back-up.

This book is excellent but unfortunately has a few typos / errors which should have been corrected during the review stage which reduces my score from 5 stars.A couple of examples "electricity supply is 230 volts +10% to 6%" should be -6%"AndRCD should be checked every 3 months should now be every 6 months (changed in the 18th edition)

Clear concise illustrated and informative

I have earlier versions of this series and at almost a third of the price!! The addition of colour to the diagrams does not justify the price.Content still good and an useful guide and reference to have

Bought this to advise me on latest updates on wiring regs that 8 need to ensure are complied with for my extension build, as I will put in all the circuits and equipment, and then get a sparks to connect it all up after checking compliance nd testing etc…(saves a load of cash)… interesting read and we’ll worth the money for experienced DIYers with competence and ability to do the work…not difficult and this book offers expert guidance… Recommended

I'm a retired agricultural engineer but did all my own building, wiring & plumbing etc over the years and needed an update on wiring as my last book on the regulations dated from the early 1980's. Though quite small this book covers all the most important aspects and I learned quite a lot from it.

Told me what I wanted to know.
