Works good, but like other reviews point out, it almost appears to break after the first use, it doesn't but thats what someone who didn't know better would think. All of these extensions that i have used on devices over the years have the same problem, if you remove the card from one of these with the device powered up and put it back in it will no longer read the card and you think the extension isn't working. For whatever reason i haven't found one of these extensions yet that properly switch the card detect line, which means when you remove the card the device doesn't get told you removed the card, and when you put the card back in it doesn't reinitialize the card because it doesn't know it was removed and inserted. So when you use one of these insert the card before powering the device, in my case a 3d printer, when swapping the card shut off the device its connected to insert the new card and turn it on, it will read the next card fine. But if you just swap the card while powered you get a card read error every time. I have no idea why other then i assume they are not switching the card detect line to let it know the card was swapped.

I used only twice during the return window. The quality and construction didn't seem the best, but it worked. Just tried to use again today 3/24/25, I am outside the return window, and extension will not work. Plugged, unplugged, and nothing. If I insert card directly into slot on my PC, it works fine, so I know the problem is in the extension cord. I definitely would not recommend this product.

Bought to add external storage to a drum module that you cannot access without unit being taken apart. Disassembled, removed original SD card, installed extender, reassembled, inserted SD card into extender, and it worked. Affixed to side of unit with double sided tape. Now, I can swap in larger cards, and can still use the original.

I use this for quick replacement of storage media on a 3D printer within an enclosure. It works well and has stood up to a lot of use without issue or degradation of speed.

Used this with my Canon DSLR as a remote access to my memory card so I didn't have to keep removing the extended battery pack to get to my SD card. Tightly folded the cable once (cause logic tells me folding it multiple times would break it), tapped it down, and been using it for over a year. I haven't had any issues at all. No file corruptions or long write times. Camera stills works the same as before.

I had hoped this would save me the trouble of reaching around the back of my iMac for the memory card slot.It occasionally worked, but mostly got me an endless list of Device not ejected properly alerts, even when I wasn’t using the computer.I won’t bother returning it for 8 dollars, but maybe someone out there can avoid my mistake.

I used this as an extension for the outside TV on my motor home so that I can do a sideshow of pictures taken during our trips.
