Excellent paste, a real umami hit and goes very well with Goenjang in a Korean fried rice dish.

Very salty
Had hoped I could put this on toast. It may be fine if mixed in a large pot but it has a very high salt content. So not on the healthy side and not good for my purpose.

So tasy
Sempio is one of my favourite brands of Korean ingredients, it always tastes fantastic and is full of flavour. Not spicy if anyone is wondering, unlike gochujang.Super easy and versatile to add this to recipes, making dishes like Doenjang-jjigae is so quick.The sealable lid is easy to open, but have found sometimes it does come off.Once open lasts a long time in the fridge, easily over a year. I always buy this size as any bigger and I definitely don't get through it all in that time!
