If there were more than 5 stars available I'd give them all! Our old hand mixer finally gave out after 20+ years and, while we already had another one, it didn't have the speed settings we liked and it felt cheaply made. Our search brought us to this one and we're thrilled with it! Yes, it's more than twice the cost of the cheap ones available but the KithenAid brand is usually a quality appliance. We were initially a little skeptical about the beaters (shape and rubber-like coating) but that skepticism was quickly dismissed after we used the mixer the first time. We've had the mixer for about 2 months now and it's used at least weekly, mostly for things such as whipped cream, frosting, and cream cheese based dips. So far we're very pleased with the purchase and look forward to years of dependable use.

This is a GREAT hand mixer.

I love baking and I had been dreaming of owning a KitchenAid mixer for a long time. In my home country this brand was very expensive. As soon as I arrived in the U.S., I bought the 6-speed hand mixer. It’s quite lightweight, beautiful and has a nice color, although I was expecting a bit more power. Overall, it suits my current needs well. In the future, I would prefer a more powerful, higher-speed mixer from the same brand.
