Working fine for 6 months outdoors so far
This little switch has been outdoors in Florida weather for about 6 months (mostly dry season so far), and it has been working fine so far.The removable part of the cover feels a bit flimsy, making it difficult to get the wires properly inserted in the right slots. It'll pop off too easily while you are trying to situate everything. That's ok considering the price point though.

Outperformed my expectations.
I'm impressed. That's easy to say, but allow me to explain. Finding an outdoor-rated PoE-powered switch at a reasonable price that lasts more than a handful of weeks is a challenge. This unassuming switch fit my budget, was easy to install, and hasn't quit. It came in a sturdy weatherproof box, but I installed it inside the enclosure I installed for a different device. It has survived its first winter, but the real test will come in the next few months, and I can't wait to see how it handles a Texas summer. One last note: This switch requires PoE++ to power. If your current switch does not provide PoE++, order an injector when you buy this unit.I recommend this one if you are looking for an outdoor-ready PoE switch.

Not a Durable or Reliable Product
I have bought several of these ove the years, wanted to give them a chance. The first unit arrived and died within 2wks of operation. The second unit was dead on arrival.Tried another unit a few months later, that also was dead on arrival; the product is impressive material use and with stands outdoor elements, but the board seems to problematic.

Was pleasantly surprised as to how reliable this unit is.
I was looking for a water resistant network switch for my outdoor Ubiquity cameras. The Ubiquity outdoor switch has been on perpetual backorder, so I started looking for an alternative. I found this one, and figured it's cheap and as long as it works long enough for the Ubiquity one to come off backorder, I'd be happy and just toss it in the round file cabinet at that time (the trash). Upon receiving it my suspicion of it being "cheap" seemed to be correct. The plastic isn't the best, the unit is very light, and the protective cover doesn't snap in with much authority and I figured it would fall off in the first storm. I was happy with the hardware it came with as it provides plenty of flexibility. My plan was to install this on the wood trim on the eve of my house. I installed this just before summer, and live in Phoenix. I thought there was no way this "cheap" switch was going to make the summer, in direct sun for some of the day in as high as 118 degree weather. I also "knew" the cover would blow off in the first monsoon storm. None of this happened! It's still going strong. Cover on, switch has literally been running 24/7 for several months, without a single packet lossed (my upstream device is a fancy L3 switch and I monitor this). My 4k cameras in total send 68 mb/s 24/7 through this thing. Yeah, it's a 1gb/s switch, but most consumer gear does not see 68mb/s non-stop 24/7. In addition, I'm pulling 50 watts of POE through this, without issue. My "pro-level" cameras show solid voltage with no sag, ever.I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It's exceeded my expectations in a relatively extreme environment, and continues to do so. Yes, I wish they were managed switches, but at the end of the day on a 5 port switch that really is only functioning as a hub, that really doesn't matter. It's a nice to have, but not necessary in this application. If this serves your needs, go ahead and buy it. It's an excellent little product that works exactly as advertised.

Good POE powered POE switch
The media could not be loaded. This CENTROPOWER 5 port POE powered POE switch takes one 60W POE cable and provides up to 15W of POE power to up to 4 different devices. I got this POE switch because a cable run to the back of my warehouse is several hundred feet and would be a real pain to have to do. This will allow me to add several additional security cameras without having to run additional ethernet cables. I tested this with 3 POE cameras for 24 hours and it worked great. The build quality isn't great - it's made almost entirely of plastic - and that does concern me given it's made for "outdoor" use. I'm not sure how well this would hold up to heat or the elements but I'm going to find out because it will be installed in my warehouse that is not (yet) climate controlled.Overall, I wish this was either better made or cheaper, but it does the job and overall I'm happy with it.
