Worked and held even after wrecking the bike
So I bought this for my 02 sportster 1200 sport. I was super skeptical at first weather this thing would work or drop my $800 iPhone 8plus while I was riding. But after some reading I said f*** it and bought it. When I was putting it on I realized there’s no power switch so it’s always on which mean eventually over time if I don’t start my bike I’m gonna have to buy a new battery. Then when I was installing it and tightening everything down to the tilt and angle I wanted it the base plate where the actual phone holder portion attaches to the handle bar bracket portion it stripped the threads out. Lucky the last few threads were still there and actually solid. I figured it’s becasue the base plates too thick and didn’t give the bolt enough to grab onto. So I tossed the plate and used two washers instead. Worked like a charm. Now to the riding part. Well it doesn’t fit a phone case so I was kind worried that if this thing does drop my phone now I’m screwed because my phone doesn’t have a case but I braved on and to my surprise it held just fine with absolutely zero issue. It holds so well in fact that when I was getting on the freeway and someone cut me off making me crash my bike doing roughly 50 mph it still held my phone and the charger even still worked while I waited for a trailer

Great value, durable, holds secure
Looked at several options before deciding on this one. Like the all metal fabrication instead of plastic like similar models. Based on other review i did buy longer cap screws to mount to my 1.25 inch handlebars to engage more threads, worked great. Wired to batt and added an in line fuse. Will not work with phone case, so i simply slip phone out of case before mounting. Just got back from 2500 mile road trip and it worked great, held phone secure and charged fast. Love the integrated USB. Great value and durable, reccommend if seeking mount with USB. Could be improved with longer screws, fuse, and off switch for USB for long storage.

Helmet
What I liked about it was the versatility of the helmet. The two shields are very clear and it works great in the rain. My biggest complaint it’s heavy ! After a 400 mile ride my neck was tired.

Broke
Well, i bought it and went for a dirtbike ride. Had a crash and broke right away. Also broke my phone. Not as strong as I expected but it was a hard crash. I hope I can just get a replacement clamp.

Big phones with case no fit
Does not fit larger phones with other box. No on off button so always pulling off battery. Sturdy phone holder wish had on off switch.

Won't fit with all phones with protective cases
This is my third motorcycle phone mount. The previous two all failed due to UV damage on the plastic parts. This item made of solid metal should last for a long time. I just came back from a 2500 kilometer ride in 5 days and it worked flawlessly. The only downside is that my relatively thin phone with protective case will not fit. I didn't have time to modify the mount before I left on my trip and had to use my phone minus case in order for it to fit securely. As well, my motorcycle doesn't have a handlebar. It has clip-ons. I just removed a portion of the mount and screwed the remaining parts directly to the upper part of the triple tree. For my application, the heightand placement was perfect.

Excellent Quality - will consider two more for my other motorcycles.
Very easy install, securely holds smart phone in place by two adjustable thumb screws. I purchased the black powder-coated aluminum, easily adjustable for my Samsung S9 Smartphone in vertical or horizontal display, nice to have the built in USB Charge port that is easily hard wired to my motorcycle battery. Tip: Used a piece of a road bicycle tire on the aluminum mount as to not scratch my powder coated handlebar.

Drains Battery
Great product other than it will drain your battery in a week, moved it from one bike to another with the same result. Wire it to the ignition or rocker switch if you want to use the USB port. Other than that, solid product got another one for the bike I switched it off from. Would have given it a higher ratting if it didn't drain the battery so fast. Oh, second bike is a new KTM with nothing else aftermarket wired to it, had no issues with the battery until I connected the holder.

Pleasantly surprised, I have recommended to friends.
Bike: 2017 Harley Davidson Street Rod XG750ACell: iPhone XI am pleasantly surprised. Easy install. The holder sturdy aluminum, and it secures my cell perfectly. The only complaint, is that it doesn’t open wide enough to fit my case (Spigen). Which is the thinnest case I have for it.I haven’t hooked up cables to battery yet.

WILL CAUSE BATTERY DRAIN UNLESS RIGGED INTO IGNITION
It holds your phone tight and works to charge devices,,, however the usb plug has a led light inside and does cause battery drain and will kill your battery unless you mess with adding a switch for it, I have now disconnected the wiring and pulled off the USB port.
