Antichrist

gorgoroth antichrist is a good album, production is raw but well eq'd. all instruments are well audible in the mix. vocals are clear, got some good songs too... definitely paving way for what was to come with under the sign of hell (my favourite gorgoroth album i think, that and the most recent with pest), i like the ghaal era stuff but with most bands that aquire a different or new singer, the band becomes a different animal, and with godseed you get just this (although incipit satan is one of m favourites too, and i own twilight ...on vinyl, so I'm not completely biased by the pest or ghaal era stuff, i like both) i would definitely recommend this, especially if you like under the sign of hell, and other raw primitive black metal of the time, because with this, you get just that. The album clocks in around 30-35 minutes so its immediately straight to the point, so if your still unsure check out the MP3 preview because that certainly synched it for me.

This album is incredible and a flawless example of the rough and raw early Black Metal days style ! A total must have for any Gorgoroth or Black Metal fan ! Enjoy it while it's still in press & available in these already dark digital dump era & times while a physical copy can still be found.

Le deuxième album du groupe norvégien est un peu plus abouti. On se retrouve à mi-chemin entre du Darkthrone, du Mayhem et du Dark Funeral, avec une petite touche heavy et doom qui leur est propre.A l'instar de pas mal de disques de black, ils ne jouent pas sur la longueur -moins de trente minutes de musique- mais sur la densité, l'intensité et l'ambiance sinistre de bout en bout.Je trouve qu'il y a plus de variété et de relief que sur "Pentagram" : rien qu'en écoutant "Bergtrollets hevn" ou "Gorgoroth", on se rend compte de la profondeur des compositions, de la maîtrise du chaos sonore malgré le peu d'instruments en lice.Apparition du vocaliste Pest, qui remplace Hat sur la moitié des morceaux et fera désormais partie du line-up.En gros, je trouve que c'est un chef-d'oeuvre de true black, faussement simpliste et très atmosphérique.

J'ai reçu pentagram et non antichrist ! Je ne peux donc pas évaluer l'article. Sinon l'album écoutable sur YouTube est très bon!
