What a great piece of kit
What a great piece of kit. Can be used with internal or external hard drive (not supplied).Records HDMI but not HDCP encrypted (because this would attract attention from Sony (etc.) lawyers). But I got a resolution from the seller, just press the power button for 10s when it is recording. We are using it with a headset/microphone to record commentary over Wii-U gameplay.

You might some problems setting up. Make sure you hold down power button for a few minutes. Also make sure go into sound setting
Note: I just figured out how to record with no split files. I format my flash drive to NTFS and I also have my ps 3 settings to Hdmi 1080 p.All I know is I do not have split files, but one big file, which helps, if you record video games like me. I was able to open files with no problems.I just opened a 29 minute full recording, so it works. I could of made longer. If you have a ps3.. I had to hold the power button for a few minutes, before it showed on my TV, so if your screen is black, hold the power button down, until you see your ps 3 on your TV. I may always have to do a reset, but it will work. Also to note if you have a ps 3 and your sound is off, or sounds really bad, you might have to do what I did.Go into your ps 3 settings, go into sound, then go to audio output settings, go to hdmi, click on manual, and make sure dolby 5.1 is unchecked. Save the settings, well solved my sound issue, thanks to youtube, and the person who showed how to fix it.I rate 4 stars, because of this hassle, and the instructions did not tell me about it.Hope this helps.

Great HDMI video capture from your game console or other HDMI devices
I am looking for a video capture that allows me to record games video on my PlayStation 4. It is very simple to use that it has an HDMI in and an HDMI out that lets this box act as the middleman between whatever source you want to record and your television or monitor. Out of 10 tries and I have 2 problems recording the video then I went ahead to contact the company. They told me that some videos or games have the problem and they help me solve the problem by pressing the power button for at least 10s when it is powered on and connected to the video source. Therefore, if you have any problem then please try this step. I am very happy with the video quality the box produced 1080P in h264 format. Overall, I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it.

Works Great
I tried this product. It didn't work in my computer or cable box as described. Also one of the prongs pulled out when I unplugged it. Sent it back.UPDATE: I am going to change my rating to 5 stars because They sent me a new one before they even got my old one back. The new one worked perfect. Both sound and video were excellent. This is the first one of these I have tried and am happy with it.

A doubled edge sword that isn't worth the risk
I enjoy this product so some capacity. The recording is on point (as far as I can tell) but only on consoles. This capture card refuses to work properly on pc. While it does capture video, the audio will not be captured at all. "That's ok though" you might be saying believing I did something wrong and that tech support will help you. That's my second problem, there is no tech support. I sent in a "request" about a week ago and still nothing. Would i recommend this? No, there are a little more expensive alternatives but ultimately better. P.S. buy a capture card from a company with actual tech support.

I gave this product a 5 star as it is a brilliant product. You have crystal clear quality and the video and sound link together. I also love the fact that it has microphone input and the fact that you don't need a pc really helps. If anyone is planning on getting a good capture device, I highly recommend this one.

Good - Fat32, not NTFS for HD or flashdrive
Pretty good. As simple as hitting start and stop to create a video.Make sure your HD or FlashDrive is formatted to Fat32. NTFS doesn't work for some reason.
