Great sound, stage ready microphone
I wish it could be wireless, but the sound is the best possible for violin.

Gets in the way of performance.
While I like the sound quality of this mic, the set-up has two rather large problems.- First, the bottom portion of the violin clip has rubber feet that dig into my shoulder. This is most likely not a problem if you use a shoulder rest, but since I don't, there is nothing to act as a barrier. The feet are about 1/4" long and extend past the back of the violin when clipped to the side of the instrument, so the feet dig into me as a result.- Second, the high arch of the microphone blocks my view of the sheet music if I'm sitting to the right of the music stand. This is less of a problem if I have the option of moving the music directly in front of me, or slightly to the right, but in an orchestral seating situation, this isn't always possible. And while I don't typically look at the fingers of my left hand when I play, I find that the size of the mic is a distraction if I happen to glance that way.The manufacturer needs to find a better way to clip the mic to the instrument, and also to position the mic so that it sits lower than the bridge -- out of the line of sight. It should not be a distraction to the performer.
