Fire Trucks and Rescue Vehicles (Mighty Machines) Paperback – January 28, 2010

These books are all so cool for kiddos who love cars and trucks. My son loves to learn about trucks. He can name parts of fire trucks and what they are used for during a rescue. When he was just two, he developed a big vocabulary with words like action, rescue, emergency, and siren. Great photos, big pages, such a refreshing change from rhyming storybooks.

I picked a few copies up because I am actually the firefighter in the centerfold on ladder #4 😁my kids think it’s cool.

My 3 year old is fascinated with this book. It has all sorts of rescue vehicles in it. Very well made. Highly recommend.

I bought this for my 5-year-old daughter to enhance her reading skills, and she had no trouble at all repeating after me thanks to the large text and simple sentences. The pictures were good and the information was accurate.It dwelled quite a bit on non-firefighting vehicles and rarely used fire vehicles; I wish it had gone into a little more depth on the different types of fire suppression vehicles, such as engines, ladders, and brush trucks.

I love this book. I gave it to my four year old nephew for Christmas. It is full of great educational facts about rescue vehicles. The graphics are amazing and the words are easily commendable but not overly simplified. Would buy again for other gifts in the future.

Our future firefighter (5 year-old-grandson) really loves the big colorful pictures and simple text in this book. He "reads" it over and over again. Great way to teach about rescue heroes.

It’s ok, but it is really too big to read with a toddler in your lap. Plus the pictures are also big. It would be perfect for reading to a group and holding up the book for all to see.

Great pictures, good content

I hate this book so much that I had to ban it for a month. I swear my son asked me probaĺly 5 times a day to read this book... If you value your sanity...DO NOT GET THIS BOOK!!! .........but if you have a vehicle obsessed kid who's happiness is more important than your own, it's a must have in your collection.

My four year old is obsessed with Rescue Vehicles. I though this book would be a nice surprise for him he loved it. Short paragraphs with child friendly language and big pictures of the vehicles and people operating them in action. Perfect short substitute for a bed time story, or short story treat.

Book is larger than I expected, my son loves it! Good quality for the money.
