It does seem to be decent leather used on the band, but that's where the quality stops apparently. From the moment I tried getting the band to connect to the Apple Watch Series 4 44mm it seemed to barely catch and would seem loose throughout the day. I found myself always checking it to see if it had come loose. It was a good thing as well since after wearing it all day, I went to take it off in the evening only to realize one of the connections had slipped out and nearly come off. Bad idea with a watch that costs this must.You can see from the video and pictures that there is a lot to be desired on the connections. They do not align properly and are far from a good fit on on watch. I would look elsewhere for a band.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  The overall quality appears to be good. The leather is relatively supple and the stitching appears well-finished and durable. I like that the color is nearly a perfect match for my Doc Martens. It is a sharp looking band and my first choice to wear outside of work (a more industrial/sweaty environment).I have not worn the band in the shower and would not recommend doing so. I use the same conditioners and sealants on it that I use for my Docs. I would expect the band to outlast the watch.However, and this isn’t a small thing, the connections to the watch are not built correctly. With every other band I have used the connectors slide in smoothly and lock in place. These are loose when installed, with easily 2-3mm of play, and extend past the watch by nearly 1mm on each side when centered. From a engineering standpoint, not to mention general appearance, this is inexcusable.That said, I have not (yet) had the connectors fall out of place once locked - and I bump into things a lot.

The plastic or silicone bands that come with fitness trackers or smart watches irritate my skin so I was looking for a leather band for my 40mm Apple watch. I really liked the look of this watch band in light brown so I ordered it. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. I opened the package and immediately smelled that familiar leather scent.The watch band is flat in a plastic bag and rather stiff feeling. I proceeded to start bending the leather to soften it and by doing so the color lightened up from a dark brown to a medium brown color. This is to be expected with dyed leather so do not be surprised when it happens for the first time! Fit and finish is excellent and I had no problems with looseness around the mounts to the watch. The buckle is very nicely finished and I had no problem getting a comfortable fit with the hole spacing provided. The white stitching near the mounts is more of an off-white to ivory color which I really like. The mounts also have loops instead of pins which reduces the chance of a corroded pin falling out causing you to lose your watch.Only time will tell how long this band will last but with leather - time makes it better! I am going to order a second band because I love this watch band so much!

Felt more like cardboard than thick leather, and appeared darker, almost pure black, than anticipated.UPDATE 4/8/19: Upgraded to 5 stars from 1 star. MAIKES reached out to make it right and let me try a different strap which was certainly more accurate to the pictures than what I originally received. Leather was sturdy, genuine, and felt higher end. Day 1 with the strap and will update if there are any quality issues with the strap later on.

Excellent look and feel to this band. It is real leather, though definitely not full grain - that's alright though. The stitching is certainly contrasting. I stained the stitching brown to better match the band, it helped to make it look a bit less casual. It is very comfortable to wear.My biggest issue is that one of the band's metal slide for attaching to the watch is slightly mis-sized for my 40mm Series 4. The band with the buckle fits in just fine (though a bit snug), but the band with the holes is sized too large, it is a definite struggle to get it to click into place, and an even bigger struggle to remove from the watch. Furthermore, once it is clicked into place, it is offset my about a millimeter - not a huge problem but certainly noticeable if you run your finger over it. It's not a clean mating with the body of the watch (shy 1mm on one side and proud 1mm on the other side). I'm hoping that putting it on and off the watch subsequent times will help it break in a bit. Considering the low price, I'll put up with this.

There isn't a lot to say but it looks and feels good. The hardware fit right into the watch like it should the leather feels good and it's got a nice thickness to it. The stitching is pretty decent.The dye in the leather will bleed on to your skin. I've been wearing it every day since I purchased and it's still bleeding some but I imagine it will stop long before this band needs to be replaced but just be warned if you have lithe skin you are going to have an orange ring around your wrist for a little bit.

As most don't do, they don't read the description before or after they buy a product. Yes, it was very stiff upon opening the package but I did exactly what the instructions told me to do when I received it. To bend the band back and forth and it will become easier to manage on the wrist. I loved the look after I did this. I absolutely love this band and was tired of the business/metal band look.

I am beyond disappointed. I have ordered 4 bands by this company and each and every one of them have given me a significant challenge to slide on and off my Apple Watch. I have not experienced this with any of my other watches. I suggest avoiding this brand at all cost. Do not purchase these and they will be impossible to use.
