EPOXY RESIN CRYSTAL CLEAR 2 Gallon Kit. FOR SUPER GLOSS COATING AND TABLETOPS

This was the perfect solution for our kitchen countertops. I bought some less expensive ikea countertops but when they arrived it was obvious they wouldn't last. After 3 coats of the epoxy resin they look beautiful and are incredibly durable.We were so happy with the outcome of our countertops that we purchased more for our fireplace mantle.You need a small gas torch to help release any trapped air bubbles. And we found that a large squeegee worked well for larger areas like our kitchen island. Overall a very easy product to use.

I was VERY NERVOUS, as any first time epoxy user would be, when it came time to start working with this epoxy. But, I am also bold and determined to get experience in all facets of woodworking, including different finishes. My coffee table's leg broke, so I had to make a new one. In deciding which top coat I did tons of research and wanted the very best for my table, which of course landed me right on using epoxy. I did hours and hours & HOURS of research and decided on this brand. Even after I received the epoxy I was still very nervous to begin using it. I had put TONS of work into this table. But, I finally built my courage up and did the work. This consisted of several hand carved inlays that were filled with metallic purple tinted epoxy, and a top coat of the straight up clear epoxy.The table ended up absolutely STUNNING. Perfect. This epoxy is VERY Easy to work with. It also comes with very detailed instructions which make it so anyone can use it. It is also a very good value compared to many of the other brands out there. If you have a project that involves epoxy go for this brand, you will not be disappointed. Also, as long as you follow the instructions thoroughly, you will end up with a project that is just as beautiful as mine.

As others have said many times, follow the directions to the letter! Also, the part in the instructions about a "bug free" environment is a must. I have 2 gnats in my counter now that are permanent fixtures in the finish unless I want to re-pour again. I also suggest mixing more than you think you need. I was doing this to custom counters I built for our mobile home project. They started out as 2x12's southern yellow pine. After cutting, gluing, sanding, I used a water based chestnut stain. Once it dried, I spent one whole day doing 2 pours. The first pour was about 3/16" thick. So was the 2nd. I used a v-notched trowel to spread it even at that thickness. I spent about 1-1/2 hours chasing drips/runs on the sides and ends with a foam brush but the results in fewer drip tips to sand off later. One more pour would have made the surface perfect, but I didn't buy enough to to do another. Total square footage was 56 square feet of surface. I have about 1/4 gallon of product left so one more quart over the 2 gallons would probably get another coat.We are extremely happy with the result! Looks like a glass top nearly. highly recommended. I will definitely use this again in the future.

Loved this product this was my first time to use epoxy and I followed all directions and my counter tops came out awesome!!! Highly recommend product.

This stuff is really good. I'm a teacher and we pour epoxy resin on hardboard with artwork in the background. If the student mixed it correctly, it dried in 24 hours. Other resins take days.I did have four of thirty-five boards not dry all the way. I am assuming this is because of bad mixing. Follow the instructions and you'll be fine.Two of these did roughly 100 sq feet of coverage, but students can be wasteful and we allowed it to drip off the sides, so I'm sure I should have used less.Random, but it's pretty brittle when it dries. Other epoxy resins can be trimmed with a blade. This one chipped/cracked more easily when being trimmed.

Very happy with the product . Easy to use with a good working time. I played with the stuff for over an hour because of a small leak on my counter top. Got it patched up and the epoxy leveled its self out. Make sure to keep a box of rags and some denatured alcohol for any cleanup.

Buying my second bottles because it works so well. Just like other craft resins but you get a lot for the price and the best part -- LOW- TO NO-ODOR RESIN! Doesn't smell bad at all. Virtually no odor and what smell there is... is pleasant. Very thick, works just as described. Measure carefully, mix carefully, then use your mixture within 30 minutes or the mixed liquids will begin to harden. And, the product hardens quickly to a true, shiny clear resin unless you mix colors or other goodies into the mixture.

I have a fifty year old metal building with four fiberglass skylights in the roof.The building is old enough that the skylight corrugations are not made anymore.Due to age and weather the fiberglass cloth was showing and were getting very thin.I carefully power washed (not blast holes) and let dry 24 hours.I used this epoxy brushing over them and they are like new again.Finish is hard and slick and clear. So far no yellowing from sun & weather.This epoxy is about like honey so it stays where you put it but still levels out nicely.Buy some plastic mixing cups from Amazon and mix the RIGHT amounts.

I've used this resin many times now for resin art. I've put many different additives into it including WATER and the resin cures BEAUTIFULLY! I highly recommend this resin.
