I ordered this safe through Total Security VT on 10/10 and received on 10/21. Not bad considering the weight. Total Security's responses to my inquiries were prompt. The safe arrived via a courier service and was left as directed. It was bound to two pallets with metal banding straps. The safe was protected by an open ended (bottom) cardboard box with foam insulation inside protecting the face containing the handle and electronics. No signs of mishandling or damage. Would suggest they use the same courier if possible. Safe was factory fresh without any flaws. Order and delivery were impeccable. One major suggestion, have a knowledgeable/experienced individual(s) move it to the final destination. Me and another, with hand truck, tried moving it up 3 flights of concrete apartment stairs. Made it to the third to last step before our straps and outer protective cardboard box slipped. Scratched up the paint a little, but really no big deal. Lesson learned.Now about the safe. One of the main reasons for this model is the weight. Approximately 300 lbs is good enough to deter most burglars from trying to remove it from my premises down three flights of concrete stairs without alerting nosy neighbors. A concrete anchor and bolt kit are included for extra deterrent. Or you could use a lag bolt if you have wood floors. All safes can be compromised if allowed enough time. After reviewing numerous techniques used on other manufacturers' safes, I concluded that the HS-750E would buy me enough time to prevent most from accomplishing this task. The electronic's casing is plastic as well as the handle (at least the exterior). This is a good thing. I want the handle to break off before the internal mechanism fails due to blunt force trauma. Most techniques I've seen deal with finding the Master Code reset button inside (usually on the side internal wall). Due to the "tiered cake" profile of the internal sides of the door it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible to insert and maneuver an object to access the reset. Suggestion without reveal would be Gorilla Tape if you deem it necessary. You'll get the idea after seeing it.Although I haven't previewed all of the electronic features, it is very straightforward to reset your master code and would assume it to be easy to utilize the other features as well. One nice feature is the ability to review an entry log. It will tell you if there was a failed access attempt as well as what codes were used to gain entry. Great for multiple users.This is a very robust safe! It is VERY unlike other popular comparable brands. The walls are heavy gauge and very thick. The design of the internal door walls (as mentioned previously) are impeccable. Hinge side internal door has two "stiff legs" that mate to side wall holes to prevent door removal if hinges were compromised. The shelf is practical, adjustable to height (similar to cabinet shelving), and plastic. The internal lockable drawer doesn't appear (opinion only) to be highly secure, but would buy you a little extra time if someone were to be able to get the primary door open. Probably best to keep the higher value items there.All in all, I'm very pleased with this purchase. For the money I was willing to spend I feel very confident I made the right decision. If your budget allows for more I would suggest purchasing an Oyster series Hollon safe. They are probably more resistant to a skilled professional criminal and will still give you the 120 min. fire rating. However, the HS-750E suited my needs perfectly.To summarize:1. Just like I thought it would be good not a scratch on it,safe code was east to set.Heavy enough nobody is going to run off with it.
