Good iron for both ironing and vertical steaming
It's a good iron. The reservoir is big and it generates a lot of steam. It's easy to fill and easy to use, and a tank of water lasts a long time.I use it for ironing shirts, and it does a good job at this. It produces good steam and doesn't need refilling often, so no problems with regular ironing.I also use it to steam my suits. Vertical steaming, they call it. After I've done my ironing I take the suits that I've worn in the week, keep them on the hangers (I use wooden clamp trouser hangers so they hang straight) and give them each a blast of steam. It freshens them up and removes wrinkles. It means I don't need to take the suits to the cleaners so often, which saves a lot of time and money as well as prolonging the life of the suit (dry cleaning is not good for suits!)One little quirk is that there is a short delay between pressing the button and getting a burst of steam. I find myself pressing the button and then the steam comes a second or two later when I've lifted the iron off the garment, giving an impressive 'old faithful' style jet of steam into the air. But I'm getting used to the timing now.I've found out a source of the anti-calc cartridges. They can be bought at Amazon at https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07JV9P1RY?ref=myi_title_dp . My iron shows no signs of needing a new one yet after 6 months of use, but it is good to know they're available. So thumbs up from me. If you have a lot of ironing or you're serious about keeping your suits in top condition, it's worth it.

Irons very well
I had to return the first one of these as it had a slight assembly fault. The second one seems to be fine and l am very impressed with its ironing quality. There is a good range of temperatures, unlike my old one which had only the one, supposedly optimum temperature, which was not hot enough for some fabrics. So far l have no had any leakage of water on to the clothes and l am hoping that the calc filter will prevent the spitting of brown water l have been experiencing for some time with my not very old Phillips which has now been consigned to the dustbin. I'm not sure how or where to find the replacement filters, which are supposed to last 8/9 months. I have noticed though that some made for Tefal irons look very similar.

Returned after injury
The steam is almost entirely uncontrollable and will, as it did with me, jet charged steam 4-5ft across the room (this is when NOT being used) It shot hot steam across my arm when I was turning a shirt...if you have children it could literally put 10-15secs of constant charged steam into their faces. I may have had a faulty unit but it was a deeply disturbing experience. The steam cable is also very thick so it DOES NOT pivot so you have to constantly adjust....which you do while torrents of hot water is jetting.

very good
I think the Eco energy setting is good and also the removable scale collector, which makes this easy to clean. Overall, this really is a very good iron, which is powerful and able to deal with any job – big or small. It is also comfortable to use and to iron with although, like so many electrical good now, the cord could be a little longer. Still, without doubt, should you do a lot of ironing, this will make the work much easier.

Good product, but a few niggles.
The iron works very well. The reason for only 4 stars is if you are left handed the power cord is a problem It is on the right hand side, meaning it is prone to getting in the way of the iron if ironing left handed. Now I am aware I am very careful. The only other problem was the instructions, it said to remove water tank, it does not lift out and it also said to soak the calc cartridge. I am sure that is not correct, as I have had similar irons before. I guess the wrong leaflet was enclosed. That said it does produce a serious amount of steam akin to a sauna!! I like the product and hope it last longer than my last steam generator iron.

So far, so good
Having paid several hundred pounds for two Tefal steam generators as well as a Morphy Richards in the past only to ultimately have problems - both Tefals eventually started to spit out nasty brown water and no amount of cleaning or as a last resort, descaling, ever solved the problem and the Morphy Richards just broke after a few months - I was keen to try an alternative brand and if I could save a few quid along the way, even better. When I saw this for less than £60 I was initially quite suspicious, but the mostly good reviews helped to convice me to give it a go.It gives a really good amount of steam - easily as much as the Tefals (both quite high end ones) did. It has a large reservoir tank (2L) so you're not endlessly having to refill it, and the ceramic sole plate both gets hot quickly and glides well over clothes. However, it isn't perfect:It is all to easy to accidentally move the temperature dial when you pick the thing up;It would be nice, given it's size and weight, if there was a similar clamping mechanism as used on the Tefal designs, to hold the iron to the pump/generator body; The iron itself isn't the heaviest - this may or may not be an issue but it does feel like it's a bit on the light side;Personally, I prefer a removable tank/reservoir, but that's a personal preferenceHowever, for the pricem, and especially if it lasts as long as the Tefals, you can't really argue right now.I'll try to remember to come back and re-review in a while with an update, as I've only had it a few days so far.
