Its alright for the money but had a nightmare trying to get gas to fit it and was surprised to find that machine mart carry no parts compatible with this. it also wouldn't strike an arc with the big torch, however the stick welder is good, its been used a lot, its significantly lighter and more compact than my small clarke ng102 that is my go to for small repairs or outdoor work and far exceeds its capabilities. I have welded several digger buckets with this now and though It isn't the quality of the arc set we have in the yard, this I can carry to the top of our batching plant alone (aprox 60ft high by ladder and stairs). have blown one 13amp fuse on an extension lead but that was to be expected after being used heavily at around the 100a setting. the construction is visibly "cheap" the switch that selects either tig or arc functions is a repurposed on-off switch that makes the unit feel a bit lower in quality than nessercary but Id recommend it if you just starting out or need a small machine to work in awkward spaces

The plug is wired wrongly. The neutral is in the live and the live neutral. I found this out when the plug broke when pulling it out of the socket. I cannot correct as it is obviously wired wrong in the welder. Also the fuse has been soldered into the plug for some reason?

Very portable with plenty of amps

The plug has a wire soldered across fuse!!!!! This is not ok in the UK And there is glue gun glue and cable ties holding things inside. Have a look at the pictures and see what you think!!! I am in the process of returning it!!!!!! Not safe

After the welder had stopped working , i.e ,, failure of internal electronics , I checked the fuse and found the manufacturer had dangerously bypassed the fuse by soldering on a wire , very bad practiceTony Wade
