I love the novelty appeal of this Caffè Nero advent calendar – it makes a refreshing change from traditional chocolate calendars, but it also serves a practical use by waking me up with a different cup of coffee every morning! It’s definitely geared more towards adults and is a perfect treat for someone like myself who thinks that you’re "never too old" to look forward to opening an advent calendar. It's a delightful way to join in and get yourself psyched up for Christmas.I’ve really enjoyed the Nespresso pods so far, the contents inside them producing rich, high-quality, and smooth coffee. The variety is limited, but it’s an interesting and tasty mix.This calendar is beautifully decorated and has a classy and mature look in contrast to tackier-looking calendars on the market, so it doesn't look like clutter in my kitchen.On a final note, I think it’d make a lovely and thoughtful Christmas gift for a lover of coffee.

my personal preferences with coffee tend to fall on the lighter roast side of things but having worked in an office with a cafe nero downstairs for years I am used to their dark italian style roastings as well so i thought i'd give this a try with a mind that it's not really aimed at my end of the market.the pods are aluminium nespresso so have a wide compatibility with the standard nespresso machines on the market. they are easy to use and so long as they're correctly installed should rarely misfire or result in a bad shot.the calendar contains 24 pods but these are rotated between just 6 offerings which is a little less adventurous than i'd first hoped as there's a whole world of coffee beans out there to pick from.of the options decaff was my least favourite, i will drink decaff occassionally but this one wasn't for me.I actually quite enjoyed all of the rest (napoletano is not something i'd openly pick myself at strength 9 though) and the rotation has proven quite novel.for a coffee lover who uses pods and frequents cafe nero then i think this will be a slam dunk and would be gratefully received. more average light/medium coffee enjoyers would probably find it interesting but probably not enjoy it quite as much.

This is such a good idea for gifting to a coffee lover with a pod machine.It has 24 pods behind the boxes, with a good selection of coffee types, including the Classico (strength: 7), the Siena (strength: 8), the Napoletano (strength: 9), the Brazil (strength: 6), the Colombia (strength: 7) and the Classico Decaffeinated (Strength: 7).Having this selection makes it perfect for someone who has just bought a machine and who maybe is unsure of which coffee they prefer.It is compatible with the original Nespresso machines, but unfortunately not the Vertuo machines which have to have their own unique Nespresso pods - so best to check what coffee machine someone has before gifting it.At the current price of £19.99 it is good value for 24 pods, and perfect as an adult advent calendar.

Alternatively, if you prefer to keep the box intact, you can access the pods without using the perforations.With six different coffee varieties included, it is a fantastic way to explore the brand’s offerings.The pods work seamlessly with my Nespresso machine, producing rich, flavourful coffee topped with a lovely crème, with no issues like dripping or unpunched lids.All in all, I am quite impressed with the quality of this gift set and would happily recommend it.

Gifted this to my partner who is a huge coffee lover, pretty much every capsule has not released any coffee and ends up squashed but doesn’t work. Very disappointing and will not buy again.

This is a really nice calendar. I love the design of it, it's colourful and cute. Inside you get a selection of coffee pods, one for each day. They are duplicated flavours but there's still a decent selection. The back describes the flavour profile of each but doesn't give any hint to which you'll get on each day which is good. Lovely coffee.
