The Negroni: A gaz regan Notion Paperback – March 4, 2013

This is an excellent book to introduce you to the great "mystic" of the Negroni; a cocktail that many do not enjoy because they don't give it a chance. As I was told after not liking my first one, try it a few more time. I did and now it is one of my favorite drinks. So basic and so easy to make.But this book introduces you to the history of the drink and many, many variations. I like the original, but there are some really good variations in this book.And the author, gaz Regan is one of best authors on the history and variations of cocktails. The phrase "He wrote the book!" several times over.Enjoy!(Hint: Though not the same, if Campari is just too bitter for you, try using Aperol. Variations doing that are even in this book.)

I thought you couldnt top the classic Negroni, and the book pretty much repeats that.However, it offers so many insights, stories and different ways to look at the Negroni that it gives this classic a whole new depth to look at. A huge list of talented bartenders and writers contributed to this wonderful book that, not surprisingly, made me want to have...well..any number of negroni's.

Epic recipes and a thorough history of one of the most famous cocktails ever invented. An amazing read for any bartender/enthusiast.
