Confusing and contradictory card meanings
Many of the cards have contradictory definitions within the same card. For example, card 13: "guarantees disappointments" etc, then "pure enjoyments and gladness for the soul".Card 45 Regeneration: "spiritual resurrection, physical rejuvenation"...then in the same card definition..."decrepitude, breakage and abandonment".No explanation or qualification to any of this. This is not uncommon among the forecasting elements or definitions. After contacting Glorian about this, the instructor said there is no difference between a straight and inverted card, and "meditation" was necessary to get the true meaning. Nothing he said rang true to me.Your mileage may vary of course, but take a look at the definitions of the cards and work it out for yourself. It's as if it has been made deliberately confusing and contradictory.

The guidebook is useless.
The guidebook is useless it doesn’t explain the symbology on the cards, whilst it’s very much like the Egipcios Kier, neither the guidebook or the Tarot & the Kalabah explain the fundamentals of the cards & how they correspond. I cannot fathom how the magician is Leo & the sun, what system are they using? None of this is explained which for gives the deck a big thumbs down which is a shame as it’s lovely. Another point is some of the correspondences they are bizarre for instance the lovers is titled indecision but the guide books says ‘the lover, victory, good luck’. Personally I’d ditch the book it makes little sense.

the cards are small but sturdy enough for practical use and the illustrations are attractive ...
I was pleasantly surprised by this tarot pack. Physically, the cards are small but sturdy enough for practical use and the illustrations are attractive with significant symbolic content. Taking into account the author and his work and style, it was not surprising that there are significant differences between this pack and the approach taken by the Golden Dawn/Crowley. The Major Arcana is similar. The Minor Arcana is very different as there are no suits that may be related to the elements and which are directly numbered 1-10 and no Court Cards. Instead, there are cards describing virtues or qualities and these I am finding useful for contemplation. The divination technique is straightforward and the nature of the minor arcana, assisted by the prediction summaries given in the booklet, helps rather than hinders interpretation. I like how the pictorial representations on the cards are divided into the four kabbalistic worlds. In other writings by the same author, each of the Major Arcana archetypes carries within it an arcana of esoteric knowledge and practice. Another author Franz Bardon similarly relates cards of the major arcana - if only the first three - to its own arcana of esoteric knowledge and practice.. Each card of the major arcana expresses an archetypal path, with its own types of esoteric knowledge, experience, lessons and the writings of the author are helpful at the very least in stimulating contemplation and meditation on the cards which, as Crowley stated, is really what the cards are all about. So, a really very good and fascinating Tarot Pack and I dropped one star as I think the explanations are a little too brief and obtuse for beginners and that there are people at Glorian capable of creating a much fuller and helpful commentary, and I take this opportunity to thank Glorian for their excellent work generally.
