Compact Powerhouse
The Sonos Roam 2 is a Compact Powerhouse for Audio Enthusiasts on the GoWhen it comes to portable speakers, the Sonos Roam 2 has carved out a niche for itself by blending sleek design with stellar performance. This second iteration of the Roam series builds upon its predecessor's success while refining features that make it an appealing choice for audiophiles and casual listeners alike. Let’s dive into what makes the Sonos Roam 2 a standout device in the increasingly crowded world of portable audio.Design and PortabilityThe Sonos Roam 2 retains the elegant, minimalist design that defines the Sonos brand. Weighing just under a pound, its compact, triangular shape fits comfortably in one hand, making it perfect for travel or outdoor adventures. The durable, IP67-rated casing ensures the Roam 2 is both water-resistant and dustproof, an essential feature for those who want to take their music to the beach, pool, or hiking trails. The slightly improved tactile controls and modern aesthetic are a testament to Sonos’ attention to user-friendly design.Sound QualitySonos has a reputation for delivering high-quality audio, and the Roam 2 is no exception. For a speaker of its size, the sound is remarkably full and balanced. The crisp highs, clear mids, and punchy bass ensure an immersive listening experience, whether you’re enjoying a podcast or a bass-heavy playlist. The speaker features Auto TruePlay technology, which adjusts the sound based on its surroundings, creating an optimal audio profile whether indoors or outdoors. This feature, in particular, sets the Roam 2 apart from many competitors, who often struggle with sound quality in varied environments.Battery LifeOne of the most notable upgrades in the Sonos Roam 2 is its extended battery life. With up to 15 hours of playtime on a single charge, it offers a significant improvement over the original Roam’s 10-hour lifespan. Additionally, the device supports wireless charging via Qi-compatible pads, as well as a USB-C cable for those who prefer traditional charging methods. This versatility ensures that you’ll never be without your favorite tunes for long.Smart Features and ConnectivityThe Sonos Roam 2 truly shines in its smart features. Built-in support for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant means that voice commands are just a call away. Setting alarms, controlling smart home devices, or queuing up playlists is seamless and hands-free. The speaker also supports Apple AirPlay 2, enabling easy streaming from iOS devices. Moreover, the ability to switch effortlessly between Wi-Fi at home and Bluetooth when on the move ensures a smooth and hassle-free experience. One of the unique selling points of the Sonos Roam 2 is its integration within the broader Sonos ecosystem. Pair it with other Sonos speakers for synchronized, multi-room audio, or use it in stereo mode with a second Roam 2 for an enhanced auditory experience. This level of versatility is rare among portable speakers and makes the Roam 2 a valuable addition to any home audio setup.DrawbacksWhile the Sonos Roam 2 excels in many areas, it is not without its shortcomings. While the bass performance is impressive for its size, true bass aficionados might feel it falls short when compared to larger, more powerful speakers.ConclusionThe Sonos Roam 2 is a stellar upgrade to an already impressive portable speaker. In short, the Sonos Roam 2 is a compact powerhouse that doesn’t compromise on quality, making it one of the best portable speakers available today.

Sonos delivered
I’ve had Sonos speakers for many years. Was looking for a way to easily bring music outdoors without unplugging my indoor speakers, then I ran across the Roam 2. So I thought, why not give it a shot. That was a week ago, I’ve since bought a second one to balance the music in the backyard. These are working so well I ordered a 3rd speaker for better backyard coverage. These were so easy to set up using the app, and only took couple minutes tops. Can group with other indoor speakers for music continuity in/out of the house. Only thing I would change, is the volume output. I have to nearly double the volume of outdoor speakers to match the volume. But I get it, I am working against the ambiant noise outdoor… not a knock, more of a wish list.Great deal, great quality, small with big sound.

Portable Powerhouse – Amazing Sound Anywhere You Go!
The Sonos Roam 2 is hands-down one of the best portable speakers I’ve ever owned. It packs incredible sound quality into a small, rugged design that’s perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. Whether I’m at home, hiking, or hanging by the pool, the Roam 2 delivers clear, balanced audio with impressive bass for its size.Setup was super easy—just a few taps in the Sonos app, and it connected instantly via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The battery life is solid, lasting me all day on a single charge. Plus, the fast charging feature means less downtime between uses.I love the durability too: it’s waterproof and dustproof, so I never have to worry about taking it outside or near water. The sleek design fits comfortably in my hand or bag, and the built-in voice assistant works well when I want hands-free control.Overall, the Sonos Roam 2 is the perfect blend of portability, ruggedness, and premium sound. It’s great for anyone who wants high-quality audio on the go without compromising convenience or durability. Highly recommend!

Update: Yes, it’s worth it!
UPDATE: It appears that the charging unit I was using was not compatible; therefore only giving a small charge. I had not gone to my SONOS app to check the battery power (which I didn’t even know was there). Sooooo, forget my previous review!! I’m sorry for leaving a bad review when it was my fault!!Feel like I got ripped off. We have been a Sonos speaker household for yeeeeaaars! Have them in EVERY room. My husband got this for me for my bday and I just have had a chance to start using it. The speaker (fully charged) only lasts 1.5 hours! I charged fully and used it again (2 more times) to make sure this was the case and yep, it only played for 1.5 hours and then quit. This is so disappointing and incredibly unacceptable! I hate my husband wasted any money on this speaker.

Sonos App did not allow me to set it up. I RETURNED IT. Don't waste your time!
I am done with Sonos products and their buggy App. I have had a Sonos Account for 7 years. I have several of their original Speakers and they work just fine. But for the past year or more the Sonos App is just buggy! I was able to Pair this Roam 2 with my Bluetooth but that was all. The Sonos App would not let me Log In to my Account, Failed Login Messages. When I logged in via the Sonos Website under my Profile it read that my Email Address has not been Verified. I clicked the Verify Email link and it said a Verification Email was sent to me and to check my inbox. Well it never arrived. I tried to do it several times without any success. Without being able to login to my Account using the App I was not able to set up the Roam 2. I packed it back up and RETURNED it. I am not going to waste my time trying to get a Sonos Speaker set up and working nor am I going to bother getting in touch with Sonos Support, as past attempts contacting them meant spending over an hour trying to get simple things resolved. So goodbye Sonos, I am done with you and your products.
