EDIT: I have since switched. Over prolonged use I developed quite a bit of clogged pores and large painful zits. Nope. Done.You have to get used to it then it’s awesome. It’s not normal petroleum crap. It’s going to be different. Can’t just give it one day and then give up. Gotta give it a week if really bad then two weeks.Put it on moderately. Not a ton but not a tiny bit. You’ll get used to what you need. It’s a nice manly, light scent. But your armpits have to readjust. Starts with stink left over as you build up better bacteria that the old stuff had killed off. Over a period of 3-4 days your armpits adjust and then it’s smooth sailing. It smells great even through lifting and running and a whole day out on a move (I manage a moving company). Just give it a chance and you won’t be disappointed.

I'm kind of bummed that I have to give this a poor review. I actually love the scent and it seems to work pretty well as a deodorant, but after a few weeks of use, I'm starting to get burns under my arms.I have extremely sensitive skin after a 5-month round of Accutane several years ago, so I was thinking American Provenance's boasting of their products being all natural would be great for my skin that I know is easy to irritate, but unfortunately that's not the case. I had been using Old Spice without issue but wanted to try something new and figured if something as commonplace as Old Spice would work without irritation, something advertised as "All Natural" would be even better. Not to challenge their claim, but it simply doesn't work without irritation for my very sensitive skin.If you're looking at American Provenance's products because of their all natural formula and have highly sensitive skin, it might be worth a try as the scent really is nice and it does work well, but it might not end up being safe for your skin.

Hello hormones! No matter how clean I keep myself, I sweat and smell worse than most men. Pregnancy is beautiful, right?This is the only natural stuff that works for me! I started using my husbands stick, then ordered my own because I was so impressed. I love it!We keep this in our hot & humid bathroom with no problems, btw.Great product! Runs out quicker than most deoderants, or maybe I just put it on heavy. Either way, I recommend!

Honestly i was initially and greatly suprised by this deodorant... the smell was simply amazing... the very first natural deodorant that actually worked for me.... i pains me to have to post a negative review because truthfully i loved this stuff... that is, right up until it turned my pits black and my skin literally peeled off as if i had recently fallen asleep in a tanning bed with my arms up... i scheduled an appointment with my dr because of the very very concerning black color and skin shedding in my pits.... i stopped using this stuff and within a week all was back to normal and clear in my pits.

I have been looking for a high quality, healthy deodorant choice. After reading the reviews, I had hoped this was it. It was not, primarily due to the soft nature of the product.First, the scent I got was not quite my speed. That happens, oh well. I'd try another. But second, it's just not a solid deodorant. I know it says "stick it in the fridge, who doesn't love a popsicle under their arm", but my house doesn't have central air, so typically sits around 72 degrees. This deodorant still is like hummus (okay, maybe a little harder), but i would not call it solid.Anyway, without central air, dont get this. It won't be a solid. It's a paste. It smells...okay. Also, I'm a pretty active (and often admittedly stinky) individual. This doesn't do much to mask the smell. I saw some reviews saying it did great, but no luck. Maybe it's because I had to keep it in the fridge and it didn't actually apply then? I don't know. Either way, I'm coming from Old Spice (non anti perspirant), and this just didn't work. Then again, I didn't have much to say for Oars and Alps or Native either. Maybe the fake stuff just is the only option...im running out of desire to shop around!

I normally rotate between the same couple types of store bought antiperspirant, but decided to give this brand a try after finding them while searching around on Amazon. I've tried one or two other natural/healthy/whatever deodorant brands in the past and wasn't a big fan. They either felt unpleasant while applied, didn't work well, left residue all over my shirts or some other thing I didn't want to deal with.That said, this one still isn't perfect. You don't want to let it get too warm or it will thin out a little and possibly apply too heavily. Also, the first couple times I wore it, I rubbed it on like my normal deodorant and it ended up kind of irritating my skin. I switched to just lightly dabbing the stick back and forth across my arm pits a couple times and the irritation went away while the deodorant still worked quite well.Overall I am a fan so far and will keep using it. I'm looking to order one of the other scents as well and possibly getting one for my girlfriend to try.

So happy to find American Provenance's Grapefruit deodorant! My favorite healthy deodorant is not being made anymore, and I hadn't found a replacement. This is it. The subtle grapefruit scent is perfect, and I don't get smelly by the end of the day. Okay, on a hot day when I've really perspired, there might be a hint of odor at day's end, but I don't consider that a deal breaker when we're talking an anti-smell product that is applied daily to a very sensitive part of the body. My first priority in skin care products is that they're safe, and next, effective. This product meets those requirements. My only quibble is that it seems expensive for a 2.75-ounce deodorant.

Very disappointing this company doesn't stand by their products and they don't except returns. My husband broke out in a huge rash due to your "Natural" product! What a waste of money......
