Reliable and quick
I bought my first Intenso stick when my pendrive broke whilst I was in Germany. I'd never heard of them but needs must. It's one of those little objects that gets forgotten because it just works all the time, and design-wise it's unimpressive. When my XX flash drive broke the reviews for replacements weren't overwhelming, then I suddenly thought to look for an Intenso. There they were, reasonable size, reasonable price, very fast delivery and it appears to work just as well as the other. Can't ask for more.

don't look like they're going to break
I bought two of these as i needed to save files and host portable operating systems, and after deleting files and folders, formatting countless times and throwing at the wall the memory sticks are showing no sighs of damage and are still working perfectly.

Survived the washing machine
My 8gb Intenso was inadvertantly left in a shirt pocket and was washed on a long cycle with the rest of the laundry. I assumed it was destroyed but I left it out on my desk to dry and kept it around for a couple of weeks anyway. Today I decided that, as it was totally dry, I would try it out. I slotted it into my computer without a hitch and there were all my files in perfect order. I stored some new files in it too and opened them so no damage either way. Impressive!

Respectable Flash Drive
I've owned quite a few USB Flash Drives over the years, only to loose most of them. Other than this Intenso, I've used ByteStor, Buffalo and SanDisk Flash Drives. Unfortunately, I could only benchmark test the two I had, and found the results of the Cruzer from an external source (although, I will update this review if I find the others). Here are the results:Intenso Rainbow 8GB Flash Drive (£9.99):File System: FAT32Access Time: 0.5 msMax Read Speed: 30.7 MB/sec - 700 MB avi File took 22 seconds to read.Max Write speed: 6.1 MB/sec - 700 MB avi file took 2 minutes to write.SanDisk Cruzer Micro 8GB (£9.62)(Results from external source):File System: FAT32Access Time: 0.7 msMax Read Speed: 28.0 MB/sMax Write speed: 8.5 MB/sSanDisk Micro SDHC 8GB + USB Micro Mate Card Reader (£10 to £12):File System: FAT32Access Time: 1.1 msMax Read Speed: 14.6 MB/s - 700 MB avi took 48 Seconds to read.Max Write speed: 8.5 MB/s - 700 MB avi took 1 Minute & 22 Sec to write. As you can see, these results show that the Intenso has the best read speed and access time, but both SanDisks have the best write speed. My preferred Flash Drive is the SanDisk Micro SDHC 8GB + Micro Mate, because, not only is the card (and USB Micro Mate reader) tiny, which provides adequate read and excellent write results, but it can also be used in Micro SDHC supported devices such as Mobile Phones & MP3 / MP4 Players, providing excellent value for money. The SanDisk Cruzer Micro 8GB would be my second choice, because both write and read speeds are excellent, it's the cheapest, and it also features a retractable USB connector. Third choice is this Intenso Rainbow 8GB, it's not a bad USB Flash Drive as it provides excellent read and access time results, but unfortunately the write speed, ergonomics and value for money are not as good as the others.
