It honestly wasn’t hard at all to put together. Even came with a mallet to hammer the pieces together and it also came with mini shovels and a mini hoe. There were extra pieces in the box as well. It’s definitely sturdy enough , my plants are very heavy. Definitely wear the gloves that come with it when putting it together. The wood stain will dye your hands
