Solves my niche need
I frequently use a top handle with my Sony FX3One of the "issues" I have with this setup is that it's "inconvenient" to start recording. Having three dedicated buttons on my camera for recording is not enough I suppose. The button is easy to press. I've never had an issue of accidentally recording or accidentally stopping the recording, but I think it'd be a little bit better experience if the button had a bit more resistance. It's also a tad loose when paired with my Smallrig coldshoe adapter. That might be more of an issue with my adapter, since it fits snug with my camera's hot shoe. This solution is the only one on the market and while it's a little pricey and not perfect, I'm glad that it exists.

Works with Canon R6
Got this to trigger an Atomos Ninja since they can use Sony LANC triggers. Unfortunately this does not trigger an Atomos via the remote port, however I plugged it directly into my Canon R6 and it does trigger the camera and thus the Atomos via HDMI. Couldn’t be happier. It’s a great size. They should list Canon as compatible.

Glutton for this Button
I have a top handle with a record button, which is very convenient when doing video shoots. It gives me a more accessible method to engage in recording rather than having to wrap my hand around the rig like I am taking a photograph. This device lets me place a record button anywhere on my rig where there is a cold shoe. A top handle, side handle, and cage all provide a place to place this button where it is convenient for the rig build you might be using. It works great with my SONY FX-30. The one issue I do have with it is the method by which it secures itself to the cold shoe. It uses a spring-mounted ball bearing to put pressure on the bottom of the cold shoe to hold it in place. This works with some and not so well with others. I have some cold shoes with a detent at the position where it should rest and since there is no flat surface to hold it in place it wriggles a bit. I have one top handle that has a flat cold shoe bottom and a safety release that prevents it from slipping out of the cold shoe which works best. It would be great if they could figure out a more secure method to lock this in place within the cold shoe.

Doesn't work with newer Sony cameras
Doesn't work with the ZV-E1, it does work with the older cameras like my a6600. Doesn't include USB-C to USB-C so I'm just assuming it just doesn't work with any camera that doesn't have the older charging port.

Works as remote shutter/video recording trigger.
I have shoulder rig with Lumix camera, and I need a remote switch to trigger video recording. This works perfectly.I attached this button to the handle of the shoulder rig, connected the wire to my Lumix camera, and I can switch on/off video recording.Very simple and easy. I used doublesided tape to secure this button to the handle. It's bit pricy for simple switch, but it look nice and works well.Recommend.

Work with micro USB connections
This is a very easy to setup video recording button. It connects to the camera via Micro USB connectors on the camera. The button is big enough to easily access start/stop video recording. I wish there are USB-C version as well, so it can be used on some of the newer cameras.

Other review about R6 compatibility not accurate
Button is great, but I did buy it after seeing the other review about compatibility with the R6 - not sure how they got it to work, but I'd love to find out! I'll just use this with a different camera for now.Again, not faulting the product or company since they never claimed it would work; just went off that other review lol.
