14ft X 62Mm 90º Draught Excluder Seal Fits Top Or Bottom Of A Garage Door

I am very happy with these draught excluder's.I have two (roughly) 7 foot garage doors and the kit was enough to sort both of them out.It arrives with 4 pieces of aluminium strip and one long rubber seal.I needed to trim off about 3 inches of two of the aluminium strips in order to get a fit.Be aware that the aluminium is pretty tough, I tried with a hobby saw and got no where so I needed to break out the multi-tool with a metal bit in order to get through it.The rubber trim was easy enough to slide in to place and I then cut it to size easily with a Stanley knife.The only issue with the kit, as other people have mentioned, is the quality of the drill bits.I managed to drill one hole in one door before the bit was blunted and no use. But I don't see this as an issue as I think anyone who is going to attempt to install these will be the sort of person who has better quality bits anyway. Used to overlap the large gap (about 2inches) at the top of a 14 ft double garage doorDrill bits and fittings supplied which was usefulDrills went through the aluminium track no problem so will cope with aluminium or plasticThe drill bits didn't seem up to the thick steel on my garage door (couldn't really expect them to be) but it was niceto have one the right size so just picked a slightly larger one ( to allow for thick steel )from my toolbox and away I went. I used some watery washing up liquid to help ease the rubber through the track.

Very happy with this product.The drill bits supplied worked very well drilling the holes in the aluminium sections, and my garage door.The self tapping screws worked well, and the rubber was easy to fit once the sections were in place (accuracy when aligning the aluminium sections is important though).It took me about 45-55mins to complete the job.

Bought this item to cover up a big gap in my up and over garage doors. I found this product to be one of the few designed for the top of garage doors and was very easy to install. Did two garage doors in less than 90 mins. Comes with 2 drill bits which is handy. The rubber is wide enough to cover a big opening and stop any drought coming into the garage.To top it all off I found the suppliers customer service very good.
