Placement is Key - instructions may need adjusting
I developed a Morton's Neuroma on my right ball of foot/middle toe area, so walking and using stairs has been painful. I read a ton of reviews of like products, before settling on ZenToes Metatarsal Pads. The biggest concerns of low-star reviewers for these types of products are: 1) pads slipping (poor adhesion); 2) lack of comfort/did not provide relief.A BIG issue, is instructions regarding placement. For me, they don't seem accurate. Other reviewers have expressed the same concern.Sharing what's worked for me:1) SLIPPAGE: I place a pad directly on my clean/non-sweaty foot and not onto a shoe bed as some folks may do. It sticks well, and I've even walked barefoot with it; using a sock or slipper will further hold it in place and reduce odds of slippage over time.2) PLACEMENT: instructions say to place the pad directly on the ball of the foot - but for me, that has the opposite affect of relief. When I put the pad ON the ball of my foot, I got a big lump that put pressure on the area. I want to relieve pressure TO the sore area. So instead, I place the pad far lower and below or just barely on lower ball of the foot, into the upper arch. This is also what others have suggested; it works by removing pressure to the foot ball and sore spot. I adjust based on my own foot anatomy. It really does help.3) STORING: I stick the pad back on the cellophane piece and bag it comes in, after each use. This helps keep it sticky and avoids other crap getting stuck to it. (I've not washed one, yet, so can't comment on how that works and for how long.)The ZenToes Metatarsal Pads come as a package of (2) PAIRS, four pads total. If treating one foot, it gives 3 replacements when one wears down or no longer adheres. Pad is about 2 3/4" at its widest, which is perfect for my 10M woman's foot.Pad thickness can be a consideration, per individual foot anatomy, how high the arch is, and where to place for best relief. For me, these pads are a perfect thickness for how I use them, but the only real way to know, is to buy and try.

Comfortable & helpful - needs to adhere to foot though
I liked these and they are very comfortable, fit my foot, etc. The only issue I had was placing it in the right spot in a closed shoe. It is hard to tell exactly where to adhere it that will be on the right spot once foot is in shoe. If there was a way to adhere it to the foot, might help. Thanks!

This Product Works Great
I have tried many different products through the years to take away the callus pain from my extensive walking and now occasionally running thanks to this product. The outside of both of my feet have calluses from walking many miles a day for exercise. I had to walk through the pain for years. I noticed that if I stepped on the edge of the concrete sidewalk and took the weight off the callus it didn't hurt so much.I thought I wanted a full length product with a hole where the callus was so I cut those but they weren't thick enough. This product is thick enough to essentially reapply the pressure to the middle of my foot and lessen the weight distribution from the edge of my foot to the middle of my foot where I have no calluses. That is the key for me. This product takes the pressure off the callus.I resuse them for about a week and throw them away. I hear you can wash and reuse them but it is very important to me they stick in the exact same place without moving and I do not like the kind that wrap around the toes because they rub and chafe me. I need them in just the right placement for comfort to walk or even occasionally run 3 miles.I just bought 10 pairs because this is the first time in years I haven't felt foot pain when walking!!

Helpful pads
I like the way the pads feel and help my foot pain. I found them hard to place and the adhesion can be an issue yet, I will buy them again

Instant Relief from Mortons Neuroma !!
I know that sounds radical but it is absolutely TRUE! Had family pictures taken at the park today (safely..masks, yada yada) and I limped around for 2 hrs. due to Morton's Neuroma on my left foot. I was hurting bad. When we got home I opened the pkg. of these pads, put one in my tennis shoe and with just a few steps I could tell I was PAIN-FREE! Put on the other shoe and took a walk outside. I was stunned that I had absolutely no pain at all. Seriously, I couldn't believe it. I will never be without these pads. Saw an orthopedic doctor just the day before. He said using these pads is the best way to go-I don't want a cortisone shot --ouch! Had the same problem on right foot & went for surgery but hope not to ever need it again. Plus this wonderful company uses Opportunities,Inc. to package goods by people with diverse abilities. Awesome !

Horrible adhesion, terrible pad
I could not believe that after just the third we put on our new Fireman boots these fell right out of the boot. They were not comfortable at all for the brief time we had them. A waste of money. You can see in the picture how totally smooth they were as they had lost any adhesive they may have had when we first put them in. They were as slick on the bottom as they were on top.

Great product if they would stay in place
After about 4 tries of moving these around in my shoes I finally found the perfect place and was able to play tennis for the first time in quite a while without pain. Next day I go to put my tennis shoes on and find the pad in the back of the shoe laying loose. While I like the product for this to happen on the first day means I have to start the trial and error process all over again. These are 2 week old $130 Asics and the inner sole is still nice and clean. So no reason for these not to stay in place. A better adhesive would help
