Aerial Antenna fits the above mentioned vehicle provided it has an existing roof aerial fitting. The vehicle needs to have a roof aerial fitting which this aerial mast screws into. This is a replacement aerial mast and is not a complete aerial. To fit simply unscrew the old aerial and screw this new aerial mast into the roof aerial fitting. This aerial antenna is 41.5cm in length (just over 16 inches) which ensures full reception for AM and FM radio. Included are both 5mm and 6mm brass thread adapters for secure fitment to your vehicles roof aerial fitting.

Radio reception returns
The radio stations in my 05 Passat Highline were beginning to fade and it turned out the rubber around the aerial had perished and the whole thing was falling apart. It was easy to replace it with this aerial and reception is back again. Reception could be better but it may be that the standard head unit is not great. Having replaced a few stock head units before I find the reception generally improves with a better head unit so I can't blame this aerial.

You get what you pay for
It looks like the original and fitted easily enough to my VW Passat.The reception isn't as good as the original aerial, so it's questionable how 'genuine' it really is. It's better than nothing though.My previous aerial (which came with the car from new) lasted 15 years before the rubber perished and it disintegrated. The rubber on this has started to split around the base after only 2 months.
