JT International Tough-1 Aluminum Hinge Cribbing Collar w/Nylon Strap

Well I gave this three stars since the mistake is really mine. The top is entirely nylon- because I'm careless in reading the description its not fair for me to give this one star, but this thing is unsafe at best. These things will itch and horses will rub. If they catch the nylon it could be super dangerous. I ended up tossing it since I waited too long to return.

I have an 11 year old mare who's cribbed since she was 2. We've tried the miracle collar, the really thick single leather strap collar, and this one. She still cribs. It's a habitual and she's addicted. I'm sure the collar would work on an occasional cribber, just not an addict.

If you are used to the quality of REAL Tough-1 products, DO NOT buy this! It has a "Tough-1" paper tag attached to the nylon part but I can tell you for certain this is NOT an original Tough-1 product. Very poor quality! Sharp pieces that hold the hinged part of the metal together-the part that rests against the horses neck.

It helps to eliminate the cribbing habits of our thoroughbred. It doesn't wear bald spots in his hair, like the leather straps did.

Hate this ridiculous thing! Impossible to fit.

Not good the collar broke within one week. The aluminum was broken and fell off of my horse.
