they are brilliant for lighting up dark corners, look cosy and glass shimmers when not lit.Lights are bright enough to walk about the area you place them at.i bought these for leaving them on timer function for when i go away from home and theythey give off enough light and work a treat.if you want these for reading i would not recommend.

Beautiful and functional light. Ideal for a table in the middle of a room. Lovely evening light that is not too bright.

Good quality, decorative and functional .

These are lovely but there’s a major issue - when I switch them on, then off, using the on/off switch on the base, then try to switch them back on - they don’t come on! I experimented with removing the batteries, and that seemed to “reset” them and the light would switch on again. But it’s a real hassle having to remove the battery every time just to get the lights to go on! I did not receive any remote control either.!!! :(UPDATE ON THIS - The Seller promptly responded to my review above with a full refund. So they seem like they're good to deal with.

Already love these gorgeous little lamps. Pretty when not in use they give a surprisingly good light when switched on. The textured shade creates patterns in the light which helps give it a cosy feel. The timer function is really useful, I think it’ll really come into its own as the evenings begin to draw in.

Initially we were very happy until we realised that the lamps could not be turned on during a 18 hour timer -off period. We cannot use these lamps more than the once a day 6 hour timer- on period, so these are a waste of money.

I purchased lights but they did not work correctly so got in touch and the company replaced them even though the time had passedThank you so much great support

Update: 22.07.23 - I ordered a second set as my daughter really admired them!Original review: We have been using these for a couple of weeks on our patio and in our bathroom - they look very nice, have a nice warm vintage glow - and they are bright enough (note batteries are not included - deduct a star!). What I really don't like is that they are open at the top, with no "lids", and as such they can't be left outside (deduct another star). Include batteries and "lids" and they would be worth a punt.
