REPLACEMENT REMOTE CONTROL KIT FOR HENDERSON GARAGE DOOR OPENER

I have an old Henderson 880 deluxe operator. The old remotes were quite large and nearly falling apart. This remote system is very easy to install and allows the existing remotes to be used as well, if necessary. Only two issues. First, I needed to obtain a longer bell wire (not expensive). Second, the fitting instructions say the pushbutton has two connectors to the operator. On my model, there were 4. A quick phone call to the supplier gave the precise advice about which terminals at the operator to use. An additional benefit is that the remotes are much smaller than the original ones, and fit easily into one's pocket.

Works perfectly!Very easy to set-up and great to have a YouTube video showing you how it is done rather than the techno babble translated manuals that make no sense whatsoever. All in all, even with my complications below, I had the whole lot working in just over 2 hours.Our garage door never had the additional 'push to open' rocker switch on the wall so I had to go into the internals of our Henderson Aperto 1000 to connect this to the last 2 electrical blocks on the right (5 and 6).The Aperto 1000 also has 24V available for use next to the light, under the white plastic cover, (there is a connector pin connecting pins 1 & 2 which caused a bit of a problem but that's sorted now as this is needed).... so I used some CAT5 cable and I have now positioned this unit close to the door without requiring any additional power source. Connectors 1 & 2 are the ground and connector 3 has the +24V - if you use these, make sure that you double check using a voltmeter before connecting anything up, I cannot be held responsible if this goes wrong for you, I can just tell you that it works for me.The remotes are also superb quality and solid. The distance that I can now open my garage door from has increased substantially. Great product and can't recommend it enough.

we now have two cars in the garage and as the present electric opener went out of production several years ago we needed another remote control as the present mechanism is still working well I was'nt changing it, so we needed an add-on control and this unit fits the bill perfectly where we had a manual button press to also open/close the door this unit connects in parallel and works perfectly just try and keep the ariels as far apart as possible

I had a Henderson 880 Deluxe Garage Door opener and the two remotes that it came with gave up the ghost. Got in touch with the Garage Door Guru and they confirmed their unit was compatible. I received the unit and was up and running in 30 minutes flat. Another 20 minutes tidied up all the cabling. Great communication. Thank you.

As per other reviewers I found this while looking for an additional remote for a garage door powered by an old Henderson motor. I only had one taped-up brick of a controller and worried what would happen if it finally gave up the ghost. I thought this seemed too good to be true but after studying the youtube video, reading all reviews, and having two questions speedily replied to, I can honestly say it was very simple. As has been said, the video makes the set up very clear but not what happens afterwards, which was one of my questions. Wendy got back to me very quickly advising that the wires are piggy-backed with the existing wires in the switch in garage - hence why both old and new will work. The worst I can say is that is was a little fiddly keeping both wires in situ until the screw was re-tightened. I love my new teeny controllers too!

It didn't take ten minutes to fit, rather an hour, but that included fitting it to two doors and tidying cables etc. It operates our two garage doors (one button operating one, the other operating the second door). It simply fools the electric motors into thinking the buttons have been pushed, so the old remotes still work and there's no chance of damage to the circuit board. The difference now is the new remotes are much smaller and have a massively longer range (at least five times). Everything needed is in the box except sufficient wire to wire up the second door, but the wire needed is very cheap (not a complaint just an observation). In short, if you're fed up with a remote the size of a TV remote, or they don't work or you've lost one, buy this kit. The instructions are on YouTube and are very clear. All for £35- it's a no-brainer.

This product is great value for money, having moved house and having only one push button remote control about the size of a modern phone, I looked at getting replacements. As the replacement remote control was far in excess of this kit, I decided to take a chance on this. Fitted within 10 minutes, plus two additional remote controls that can attach to my key ring, absolute bargain. Additionally these remotes use a rolling code that is far more secure than the old system.Highly recommended for transforming old push button garage door openers.
