No idea if it is the way i hold them but pruning shears never seem to stay open so you can just cut, cut, cut. I have to cut, stop and open again and then cut and so it goes on. Maybe me?

Very solidly made but locking mechanism won't work on mine. The highlight is the instructions which I shall quote verbatim to illustrate this: "Be careful with Do not use reverse scissors. If the scissors are twisted into a figure watches pointer in C clock, two cut would crush damage; if it is twisted into a figure A Contrary to clock in appearance, when trimmed cut at at the two produces a Gap, and ensure smooth cut. Use right shall be directed by the B.".......it continues in this vein.

Very good and sturdy tool! Great for pruning and adjusting trees and plants. Even my neighbor admired it.

Super sharp and little effort to cut through branches at about double my (ladylike) fingers. Apply downward pressure on handles to release catch. Then do same in reverse (squeeze handles) then manually push silver clip into the securing groove. Can be tricky at first as more pressure needed to close then to open. But still 5 stars.

plus points stainless steel look sturdy sharp slight niggles made for right handed people shape of handle that is locking not the best design but excellent value

Would have got 5 stars but locking trigger is stiff and doesn't click into shut position every time.Clean cut achieved and comfortable to use.

Excellent and sturdily built razor sharp Secateurs. The locking clip is small and can be difficult to secure when pruning is finished. Good value product.
