The Hunter: A Monster Romance: Monsters and Beauties, Book 2

A spicy take on Little Red Riding Hood that I shamelessly devoured!!
Jenika works her talents once again, spinning a very hot and adult version of Little Red Riding Hood…and I devoured it with a quickness.Marcella lost the one good thing in her life when her grandma passed away. In order to try to find some happiness, she takes a trip to Alaska to enjoy the solitude and wilderness…little did she realize that she would find so much more.Hunter has been on the island since birth and never has had the privilege of finding his mate until Marcella shows up. He knows she’s his mate and will do any and everything to make her his forever.Another fast paced, hot and steamy fairy tale retelling I loved. Jenika nailed the alpha-hole hotness of Hunter and his dirty mouth set my kindle (and other things) ablaze. I really enjoyed how the story played out with the high amount of spice and low level of drama. The characters and story has the perfect amount of development with a HEA that had me clenching my thighs with a smile. Definitely another sweet treat that I will be revisiting in the future.

Good
I enjoyed reading this story about Marcella (human woman) and Wolf (a wolf creature). This story was a take on the Little Red Riding Hood story. It takes place on an Alaskan island in the present time. Both main characters were likeable. Marcella ended up on the island because her grandmother died and left her a cabin on the island. Wolf's kind has been on the island for centuries and learned to speak english from studying the people who came to the island. Wolf knew Marcella was his mate when he scented her.The only danger came from another of Wolf's kind who was rabid/sick and wanted Marcella. There was an epilogue showing they were going to have a baby. The only thing I didn't quite like was there was a lot of foreplay that went on for several pages. Seemed too long to me. Oh, the other thing I thought was strange was that when Wolf said some words, you would've thought they were coming from a regular guy, not a wolf creature that had never been exposed to a lot of people or TV/internet etc.

Not the little red riding hood you remember
A different take on Little Red Riding Hood. Wolf has his eyes on Marcella and he is going to do anything and everything in his power to claim her and make her his.The spice, the chemistry, the passion. These two would be melting any snow up in Alaska that’s for sure. Wolf is protective, especially when it comes to Marcella. Marcella is hesitant at first, but really she has no one else in her life.Spicy, fast paced, check the warnings before reading. This isn’t the story you remember from childhood. If you’re looking for a spicy, monster, fairtytale retelling check this one out.

I’ll be moving to Alaska Now!
*𝐴𝑅𝐶 𝑅𝐸𝑉𝐼𝐸𝑊 *𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐻𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟𝐵𝑦:𝐽𝑒𝑛𝑖𝑘𝑎 𝑆𝑛𝑜𝑤.⭐️: 5/5🔥: 5/5.“What if the big bad wolf kidnapped Little Red Riding Hood solely for his pleasure?”I love my family but I’d volunteer to replace Marcella in a heart beat!🥵 Do I want to experience Wolf everyday? Yes! Am I now wishing I could find a big bad wolf for myself? Hell Yes! Have I already packed to go to Alaska? Maybe😉I read this SO fast and it was amazing! The way Jenika is able to write these scenes and make you feel like you are actually there (maybe going along with them, if you know what I mean☺️), is incredible. My love for Jenika Snow and her stories will never end!🖤Fav Quotes:“She would be my queen, my alpha. I would worship the ground she walked on and would make sure she had everything she could ever want.”“The sooner she realized I was a nasty beast for her- only her- the more orgasms I could give her.”

Werewolves & Reimaginings
This is not your everyday innocent Little Red Riding Hood Fairytale, this one is smoldering on the spicy scale and is a deliciously sinful reimagining. Where a werewolf, Wolf, is intent on capturing his human mate, Marcella. This is a perfect read for those who are looking for a steamy quick book and see the list of TW/CW as more of a reason to read a book than to skip it.After the loss of her grandmother, Marcella decides to embark on a camping trip on an island, in Alaska, where she hopes to reconnect with nature and not feel as alone. She is unaware that there are more than just your normal predators lurking and stalking her in the night, until its too late. She will quickly learn what it means to feel be the prey and what it means to feel love and protection in the span of just a few days.Wolf is a feral werewolf intent on keep Marcella, from the moment he set eyes on her. He sure loved a good chase, just to capture his Little Bird. And he's one k¡nky monster who loves every inch of Marcella and is intent on keeping her all to himself. Though at times he did seem a bit overbearing, he sure made up for it with his caring and sweet side toward the end.I can truly say I enjoyed reading The Hunter, it had all the spice one could ask for in a monster romance, that k¡nk/tropes list did not disappoint. And the subtle aspects Snow added from the original fairytale throughtout the book didn't take away from it or make me feel uncomfortable thinking about them unlike other fairytale reimaginings I've read in the past. This is a must read for all the monster loving readers out there!

Great Story!
Loved this story. So enjoyed both Marcella and Wolf. I could see myself being remote and would be blissfully content. I so wanted her to say something to that soon to be x work colleague! I'd have loved to put her in her place. But she remained cool and collected, leaving for her retreat.Wolf was an interesting character and certainly wise to the way of men. It was great to see her change and love him for who he was. Who wouldn't want a great big sexy wolf looking after your every need, both in and out of the furs! Now to read the first book, not sure why I chose this first. 😊

Awkward take on little red ridding hood as a romance
I love Jenika’s books. Really love her Lycan series. But this was just strange to me. Maybe if wolf was less wolf-like I’d be more into it? And I’m so sad because being hunted is my kink. Ah well, I’ll still read the next one!

This is my fav in this series
Red riding hood has CURVES, the wolf doesn’t want to eat her, rather he wants to eat her out if you know what i mean! Very primal, erotical. The vibes of a forest in fall, it’s „leave your city life and go live where there’s no internet connection and also theres this horny wolf/man.

The Hunter
This one followed that same format and storyline as the first one, but was just as good. I wasn’t as into this one at first, but after he captured her I was hooked. The smut in this was amazing, and there was a lot. I feel this was a Stockholm syndrome novel more than it was a fated mates book, but oh well it’s just as good

Jenika snow does dirty talk like no other
Short and full of nothing but smut. Loved it! There is primal play, monster love, some dub-con, voyeurism, exhibitionism, and some rough stuff. With just a sprinkle of warm fuzzies

I liked the first one better
3.5So.... maybe reading two monster romance in a row wasn’t the smartest thing to do.I found some things a bit ripetive. In the end i liked it but not as much as the first one in the series. It was still steamy but something missed.I appreciated the Wolf and his taking care of Marcella,he was kinda sweet; i don't know what to think about Marcella tho.
