I bought these as I work outdoors in the wind and rain, and would sometimes have to attend the office after getting soaked!I am suitably happy with this purchase for what it is, and the price. I have very thick hair which gets curly in the rain. I would plug these into the cigarette lighter in my van. It's worth noting that you will not be able to use them straight away! They take a while to heat up - atleast 5 minutes. I found that running the engine rather than just using the battery made it quicker.They are not as powerful as salon straighteners but I think it speaks for itself. For what you buy them for, be it camping, travelling, working outdoors.. I find this has been a great purchase (and totally a lifesaver!). The straighteners are hotter and more effective than expected.I now keep these in the car with me at all times for top-ups when out and about and definitely recommend them.

These are fab! But they only fully Hest up and work properly if the engine is running. I was honestly amazed at how good these worked. I could even curl my hair. Perfect for camping trips. 100% recommend

Van life with no electricity is hard especially when you go to the beach and have frizz hair after 😔 I have had gas straightners which are rubbish !!! Girlies these are fab and I suggest you plug them in when the engine is running as my others half suggests the van battery won’t die they get really hot enough to straighten my wavy long hair this just after a day at the beach same effect as my ghds at homeDon’t hesitate worth every penny

Bought these on strength of reviews initially thought they were just ok used 4 times max as they are kept in camper requested refund from seller as used recently hardly warm and defo does not straighten my hair asked for refund seller said had too long and mis - used they we’re definitely not !! really unhelpful and I thought electrical items were guaranteed for a year unhelpful seller avoid !!!!

Was not what I expected . Takes a while to heat up and us quite damaging for the hair . The ones I received seemed to have been used. Think maybe someone sent them back and amazon sent them to me . Will be retiring them as not happy at all.

My girlfriend and I recently went on an 'off-the-grid' holiday, and before we left she sent me this link saying that the one thing she couldn't do without were straighteners! As we had no power in the cabin we stayed in, we had to get 'in car' ones. Despite the fact that I had no idea these even existed, I bought them, and I have to say we were both very impressed.They heat up very quickly and do not pull or rip your hair at all. They have quite large paddles so can cover a lot of hair quickly, and the results are very favourably comparable to our regular straighteners we use every day. I can highly recommend to anyone who is in need of portable preening solutions

Used in Motorhome. Plugged it into 12v in van. No need for engine to be running as working off leisure battery. Took about 5 mins to get to a good heat. Leisure battery showed little effect on the panel once disconnected. Obviously not as good as the ones plugged into electricity but a good alternative. Plates are quite wide, they don't seem to do narrower ones, but they are not half bad for those bad hair days when not on EHU!

I got these for camping. I am not a happy camper and dreaded the thought of my dry bleached blonde birds nest looking rubbish for a week.These are really good. plug into the cigarette lighter socket and switch on and away you go! Ok, they arent my ghds, but they arent bad! they tamed my russell brand back comb do in no time. I was a fairly happy camper after using these, even if all the guys did that the mickey out of me.Since the trip they stay in my glovebox and i have used them after being caught in downpours. I stick the blowers on to dry my hair and when i get to my destination i give it a quick going over and hey presto, lovely locks!Good item and id replace them if they ever broke!

Awesome for in the car while camping

È un'ottima piastra per capelli considerando il prezzo ed il fatto che sia a 12v. L'ho presa per il camper e come è arrivata l'ho provata subito e mi ha lasciato soddisfatto, perché ha una struttura robusta anche più di quelle economiche che si comprano nei centri commerciali(prima di comprarla ho fatto un pò di giri) ed in più si scalda con meno di mezzo minuto. Ovviamente io ho fatto una prova tecnica perché sono uomo. Più in avanti mia moglie mi darà un giudizio da donna, sull'effettivo utilizzo sui suoi capelli

Ottimo acquisto che mi ha cambiato la vita da camperisti! :D consigliatissimo, si scalda velocemente e piastra bene i capelli.Non si può impostare la temperatura ma va bene comunque.
