Got my safe today and so far, it's ok for what it is. For the price, this is not as secured as a safe that costs hundreds, if not thousands of dollars more, so don't expect Fort Knox level security. But for its basic function it serves its purpose.Setup was very easy to do with the digital programming of your combination. I had that done within 5 minutes. And it does use 4 AA batteries that you install in a compartment on the back of the door. It comes with 2 keys to open the safe without the use of the digital keypad. Useful if the batteries die and the electronic method is not available, or you forgot your combination, or if the electronics fail. And for this very reason, do NOT put these keys in the safe itself. Keep them in a separate secured location for when needed.Overall, I would not store hundreds of thousands of dollars in it, nor keep your gold bars/bullion in it. Like all other similarly priced safes, it only offers BASIC security. With this type of safe, it would not take very much effort to open it by a skilled, determined thief. However, it is a good deterrent to the casual thief or a family member looking to get in.The walls of the safe were surprisingly thin, but they serve its purpose. The deadbolts are of good quality and ensure that the door is closed and locked tight. The floor mounting and wall mounting hardware included is a bonus to make the safe not as easy to carry away. Overall, the safe does weight about 5 pounds, so it does have some substance to it, but also would not take much effort to cart it away unless it's mounted on the floor or wall.So, yeah. This is a fairly good safe for its intended purpose. But if your goal is to have more security, then this safe, and others like it, may not be a good fit for your needs.Overall, for BASIC security of your valuables, wallets, credit cards, ect, it will serve the purpose.

it’s a little hard to open an first, but once you get the hold of it it’s amazing. definitely makes saving easier. before i would just do a saving account with my bank but it’s so easy to just take out of my saving and not save so def would recommend if you are anything like me

The electronic doesn't work. Batteries were put in but no response from keypads. When using the key it isn't as simple as easy to open. You need multiple attempts. Poor design.

Super strong, light weight, good price, secure, come with a fire proof money bag, thick door.

I my Grand daughter picked this out so I ordered it for her 8th Birthday she lives away from us so I wasn’t there when she received it but her Mom says she loves it she was watching for it to come an received it before her Birthday she opened it and has put all her money that she’s saved plus all her valuables . I had started to buy this for sometime now wish I had gotten it along time ago . Will be getting another one for a Christmas gift since this was such a big hit . Thanks hope it holds up she loves it so much . I would definitely recommend this Bank

The safe is definitely small. I’m able to put away medications, some jewelry and a gun inside when the house keepers come. The disappointing issue is that the batteries that are required for the security code lock to work die quickly. This thing eats through batteries on a nearly weekly basis. I use rechargeable batteries but still get little life out of them. Every other week when I need to hide my private and valuable items, I have to pop out the lock cover and use the key. Because of this inconvenience, I keep the key close by where it could easily be found (I realize that’s something I can correct).It’s a bit smaller than a hotel safe; a laptop CANNOT fit in, and it can’t fit my iPad mini inside.
