I found the Camera setup was fairly easy, so I will show you how I did ...
I don't usually write many reviews, but I couldn't help doing one for this ieGeek camera, mainly on how to set it up.When I took the camera out of the box, my first impression was the feel of it and its sleek and shiny design. The first thing I noticed was that, between the camera assembly and the bottom base, (where it pans on) is more solid than my other cameras, where they feel flimsy.Included in the box, there was a wall/ceiling mount bracket, Network flat ribbon cable, UK Power adapter, a USB cable, a Quick Start Guide and a bag with 2 wall plugs & screws, also included in the bag is a handy little pointed tool to reset the camera. I found the Camera setup was fairly easy, so I will show you how I did it.First, download the app called MIPC by scanning the QR Code found on the User Guide for your device, I chose the Android to set it on my phone, but there's also one for IOS. Then after it's installed, open the app and sign up for a new account with just a user name & password. Now sign in to your new account and on the next page you'll see a '+' sign on the top left corner, tap on it to add a device, then a scanner opens up. Now scan the QR Code found at the bottom base of the camera and it will find your Camera ID and default password, which will be admin for now, then Tap Next in the bottom. Now we are on the 'Modify Password' page, so go ahead and change the password to one of your own. After it says 'Modify Successful' it gives you the option to set up your Wi-Fi as well. At this point, I decided to skip this step, which could be set up later anyway. So if you decide to follow this information, tap on 'Skip' in the bottom and then you should see 'Finish' on the next page with your Camera ID and also 'Add device....... Success' and 'Modify password....... Success' in the middle of your screen. Hit Ok in the bottom and if you see the screen with the 'Add device' and the + sign again, assuming you're only adding one camera, just Tap where it says 'I know' and you should now see your camera on the upper left corner of your device. Tap on it and you'll see the Camera View. That's it, the camera is now set, check it out by Swiping your finger on your device left, right, up or down and you should see the camera moving accordingly. You now need to set your local time as it comes with an 8 hours difference. So on the app, open the camera view and hit Settings in the bottom, now scroll down and tap on 'Day/Time' and set it to your Locale. Make sure you keep 'Auto sync' On by tapping the switch on the right, (it turns blue) this way it will keep the right time by syncronising with the Time Server of Locale. This camera has very sharp images specially when set on HD mode. I tried it on my Android phone with my mobile data On away from home and it works just fine, there's a slight delay of about 1 sec or so when you swipe to pan or tilt the camera away from home, but that's not bad, considering that some of my other more expensive cameras takes about 8 or 12 seconds before I see any movements on the camera! If you installed a Micro SD in the camera, then It sends notifications whenever it detects motion immediately to your device, wherever you may be, as long as you have your device mobile data On of course or if you're at a friend's house, you could use their Wi-Fi on your device. You may then watch the Video clips and Images from wherever you are. You can also download any Video clips or Images that you're interested in to your device or you may opt to delete the ones you don't need. When you're at home, you can also receive notifications on your Desktop PC or Laptop, as long as you have their app MIPC installed on them.I had this camera for almost a week now and so far I'm very happy and had no problems with it. In my opinion, for it's price this is a very good camera, especially if you need it for watching your baby, pets, or your house when you're out and about. The Quick User Guide that comes with it, could do with more information, particularly on how to set it up as it is very basic, but if you're stuck about anything, I found that their customer care stuff are very prompt to respond to your query and very helpful too as you may notice on the Questions & Answers above.I really hope that this information was useful and at least helped someone out there. Thank you for reading it.

O/K, with reservations
I have purchased two of these, the first one broke the power connection. Customer services seemed extremely helpful but unfortunately they weren't able to help me with a replacement and I was informed I would have to send it to China at my cost of £20, for examination they did however offer me 25% off another purchase..The second one is working o/k but the recording can be a bit hit and miss. The picture is very good the sound and microphone works.Very easy to set up on BT hub 5 . While it's working its great for the price but if it goes wrong it will be in the bin.

Worked like magic for first couple of weeks and has slowly ...
The motion sensor has gone crazy on this. Keeps detecting imaginary motion . I have reset settings turned the motion detection sensor right down and still sends me detection alerts. I have had to purchase replacement cans after 3 months use. Worked like magic for first couple of weeks and has slowly degraded in use. Not worth the money spent .

Does the job perfectly!
Brilliant piece of kit, very easy to set up through the house wi-fi, very clear and good quality picture in daylight, artificial lighting and overnight. Initially bought to see what the dogs get up to when we're out, but have now bought several more for the rest of the house to cover entry/exit points for security, as well as the model for outdoors.... Gets a bit addictive, to be honest, this home security lark! Have set up to be monitored/recorded on iPhone and iPad and all works perfectly when away from the house. Have even used the microphone to speak to one of my dogs when he was upset and barking.... he looked a bit stunned but it did the job and he went back to sleep! There's so much choice out there, it's impossible to know what to buy, but I can highly recommend the ieGeek range.

Functional but expensive for what it offers...
I bought one of these cameras at full price, and I had no prior contact with the seller. Accordingly, this is a genuine customer review. When the camera arrived, I was very impressed with both the packaging and build quality. The instructions weren't overly comprehensive but are easy enough to follow if you have some extremely basic technical knowledge (how to input your router password, how to scan QR codes etc).Once connected, the "MIPC" app takes full control of the camera. You cannot physically twist, move or alter the camera unit itself, it's ALL controlled remotely via the app. You have three quality modes - smooth, standard and 720. Although 720 is the sharpest, the data transfer rate over wifi is abysmal. You might as well be looking at still images which update every three seconds, the lag is that bad. Smooth is just that, but extremely pixelated. I find the "standard" setting works just fine. There's a whole host of options, including scheduled recording, and I was particularly impressed with the AUTO/DAY/NIGHT feature. When set to DAY, this allows you to turn the infrared lighting off, so the unit can be placed looking out of a window at night-time. The sensitivity can also be adjusted, and contrary to other reviews I've had a relative amount of success. The camera takes both snapshots and approx. 30 second video clips, which are stored on the SDHC card. This wasn't included, and I used a freshly formatted old Kingston 32GB class 10 I had lying about with no issues. The downsides I have found which prevent me from giving this camera 5 stars are as follows:1. As already stated, the instructions aren't overly comprehensive. For example, the settings within the "MIPC" app have an option for "storage device". I have absolutely no idea what this is, or how to use it, and I feel like I'm missing out on a key function of the camera. Furthermore, although the footage is saving to the SD card, I have no idea if it overwrites automatically (like some of the newer car dash cameras) or whether it simply gets full and stops storing footage. You'd think this would have been an important point to tell new users!2. Likewise, the "MIPC" app itself isn't very intuitive. There's no standalone buttons for the pan/tilt/zoom features - instead you drag your fingers across the screen and the camera responds accordingly, and this function often suffers from lag. For example, my camera is current set to use the wifi connection, and is located around 2.5 metres away from the router. Once I've used the phone to move the camera, it often physically responds 4-7 seconds later. I don't care what anybody says about your broadband connection speed - I can download at up to 2mbps, so transferring literally bytes of data should not take so long.3. Once you've set the account up on "MIPC" on your phone, you have the ability to set an additional "guest" password. This allows you to give your username and the new guest password to family members, who can download MIPC on their own phones and tablets. When they login using the guest password, they'll still be able to view your live feed, but (theoretically) will not be able to change any of the settings. This doesn't hold true for long, as bizarrely, guests can still move the camera remotely! I see absolutely no use in this function whatsoever. I gave my parents the guest password, and half an hour later I was annoyed to find the camera staring at the ceiling. They of course, didn't realise what they'd done!4. The wifi connection from the camera unit itself is weak. My router sits upstairs, and I tried my camera downstairs overnight to monitor my dog. I live in a relatively small two bedroom house - nothing large or extensive. Although it worked, the connection periodically dropped out and took 5+ minutes to auto reconnect, which is little use as Sod's law dictates that is the precise moment you'll get burgled!5. Finally (more of a disgruntled annoyance than anything else) I was generally pleased with the camera, and though it would make a thoughtful and reassuring present for my partner's elderly grandparents, who live in a suburban area and are occasionally bothered by aggressive cold callers at the door. I came back to Amazon to order two more units for presents, and found the price had increased overnight from £49.99 to £52.99! Having to pay an unjustifiable price hike to the tune of £6 is a little greedy and unscrupulous, and I should think carefully before recommending the seller to anyone else.Overall though, I'm pleased with it, and I was pleased enough to purchase two more. However, for over £50 you'd think they might include an SDHC card, as the cost (when bought in bulk) would be absolutely negligible, and would make for a much better deal. I haven't tried any other units so I can't make any direct comparisons, but this does exactly what it says on the tin.
