Well-made weights
These weights are great. An accurate 1.5kg with an easily adjustable strap. I notice a lot of people using these for jogging and then complaining when they break - this kind of design is not suitable for jogging, and I don't think you will find any that are at this weight -1.5kg is simply too heavy to wrap around your ankles (with this design anyway). What I would recommend them for is wearing day-to-day at work if you move around, on walks, climbing stairs, etc. If you're moving fast like jogging or running the strap will break off - that's just simple physics. They are very comfortable to wear all day and I would definitely recommend them.

Soft & quality but not for female wrists
Durable materials and stitching, not as stiff as you'd expect for 2kg. Unfortunately the velcro strap is sewn directly onto the neoprene casing - I'm not sure how the fabric will hold up long term considering that the straps would have to be pulled tight to allow them to be used as wrist weights. And that's my biggest problem with these; even when the straps are at their tightest they are still too big for my wrists, they slide up my arms with any movement. It's a shame because they are quality weights and malleable enough to fit around my wrists but they just don't have a long enough strap. They would work on larger male wrists though, and they do make very good ankle weights.

Very good value
I bought these 2kg ankle weights to train at home whilst recovering from shoulder surgery. They arrived very quickly and I was really happy. Unfortunately the lead began to leak out on one of the weights. I contacted the seller through Amazon and had a very quick response and a replacement was sent out to me straight away. For this reason I am giving 5 stars. This is a very Fare price for this product. Inexpensive & meets my needs perfectly.

Tone-tastic
I walk 5 miles approx 4 - 7 times per week, and have been using ankle weights for years. I started at 1lb per leg, progressing up to the current 4lb per leg. Whilst I would not recommend going straight for this weight until you have built up your muscles (for fear of knee damage), I have noticed a huge difference in the tone of my leg/buttock muscles with the heavier 4lb weights - no mean feat for my age when nature is doing its best to decrease the tone by the minute. At first, I struggled a little with the sheer weight of them - in fact I struggled to carry the box through when it was delivered. When I took them off, I felt like gravity had suddenly decreased by 50% and walked like I had drunk way too much alcohol. However, I have soon got used to them and do not have any issues at all with wearing them. Every single weight that I have purchased has started to leak at one point, and I must admit that reading the reviews of this product made me think twice. However, not a leak of lead in sight, and I find this type of strap not only easy to put on, but that once on they stay put. One last tip: they are so heavy that the fastening may cause blisters - I wear folded over football socks and put the weight on back to front with the fastening at the back (OK, the socks are not a good look, but then neither is a blistered ankle in summer sandals).

York wrist weights - a pair.
These items are very well made and they fit on to wrists strongly with Velcro. However, they are made for a very slim person because I could not fit them around my ankles, and I am of a medium build and not fat.

Deserves no stars
This is a poorly made pair of ankle/wrist weights and I will think twice before purchasing the York range again. Firstly though they are sold as wrist or ankle weights these are far too big for both. I do not have exceptionally slim ankles or wrists yet even at the tightest fastening these were sliding unacceptably on my ankles and as for wearing them on my wrists- no chance.I can put up if I have to especially as it's not easy finding 2kg (each) ankle weights - at least on Amazon. So I wore two pairs of socks for thickness and carried on. Well 3.5 weeks later the stitching has come off and I am vacuuming bits of filling metal off my bedroom floor. Luckily I have no pets who might have eaten these. The pieces are so tiny (and hard to see on my carpet) that it took a few days for me to notice.I am a little cross with myself because when the weights first arrived I did hesitate on noticing how thin and flimsy the fabric holding the 'weight pieces' was particularly in comparison to my trusty Everlast 1kg ankle/wrist weights which have been going strong for about 2 years now with nary a defect or tear. But silly me, I decided to give these ones a chance.Well I am asking for a refund and will be sending these badly made weights right back to Amazon.

GREAT
Ok I use these for a different reason you readers are looking for. I have a S.I.B boat and trailer. when I get or try to get my boat out of the sea water the trailer wheels float and its a nightmare getting the boat onto the trailer especially if its windy. I put these at the base of the trailer by the back wheels, now I can just push it in the sea and the wheels stay on the floor enabling me to just slide the boat on.

Poor quality
Always buy branded wrist weights as tend to last longer than cheaper ones. These were comfortable but lasted less than a month before the stitching around the strap came apart and the black filling started leaking out, so had to throw away.

Buoni
