I bought one of these to keep some possessions for my son for the next 18 years (not sure it will be big enough to to fit 18 years worth of special things in, but we'll try). We already have some things to put in it and decided to go for something personalised and keep it in this.It looks great. One of my worries from a review was it still being splintered. This isn't the case, its sanded down and is really good quality. The large one I bought doesn't have hinges on (I wasn't sure whether it would or not) but I'm really much happier without. The lid pulls off which is a nice for opening and is one less point of failure, especially for something we want to last a long time.I think I will stain the wood to give it a bit more a rustic look but this isn't a slight on the craftsmanship of the box itself, its fantastic, and should we be-able to keep it a secret, should be a great gift when he's 18.If you're on the fence and considering it but not sure, I would definitely recommend getting one.

Exactly what we wanted for our first grandchild’s keepsakes. Very well made, really happy. My daughter was in tears when we gave it to her.

The box I brought to keep memories, pictures and blankets of my son who I staidly lost prematurely in November. The box is lovely , brilliant carving with the enscripture. However I purchased the large box for £40 and it was sadly a lot smaller than I was expecting. The quality of the box was not bad however the materials were a little cheap and probably needed a gloss on top for a finishing touch as the wood was a little rough but overall very happy with my purchase. I would probably buy it again but I think the box size should defiantly be altered, maybe this classed as medium and a larger box on offer.

Unfortunately when my box originally arrived it was missing the additional inscription on the bottom of the box and the style of one of the letters didn't look quite right so I contacted the seller and they got back to me very quickly. I ended up opting for a replacement box and it's absolutely spot on! Couldn't be happier it looks amazing. The quality is good aswell, has that lovely freshly cut wood smell. I'm using it to store messages from family for my twins 1st birthday instead of birthday cards. I'm sure they'll love it too when they're older. Thank you!
