DLAND USB External Slot DVD CD RW Drive Burner Superdrive for Apple Macbook Pro Air iMAC

I bought this external disc drive as my MacBook Pro does not have one and now and again I need to view photographs etc from my old collections. The drive is light and compact and looks really sleek. It is excellent value for money as it costs far less than the Apple equivalent and works perfectly. I used it for several hours consecutively whilst copying my extensive collection of CDs onto my computer memory. No problems at all with overheating and the music all downloaded successfully. I would definitely recommend this. It arrived quickly and was well packaged.

I only found this out by testing it on two MacBooks. And the only reason I was able to extract the CD I'd put in was because it did work with my 7 year old Mac Pro. Looking past the first few customer reviews one I discovered this I saw that other people had discovered this for themselves. Do not buy if you want to use with a MacBook or MacBook Air.

As I said, the item looks great, but after uploading about 12 albums, it refused to work, nor would it eject the CD within. I unplugged it and the next day, tried again, it still wouldn't play the CD but it did eject it. This has happened a couple of times, not catastrophically, but annoying. For the price, I can put up with it.

CD player. Works fine, does what it says.

A bit noisy but get used to it guess I'm just used to the silent MacBook

I’m running a iMac 27” 2013 all in one pc and as most people know getting accessories for apple can be very expensive! However here’s an accessory that not only runs on my iMac but does everything a genuine apple super drive does for peanuts I’d recommend it to any apple user.best £20 I’ve spent.

Looked good, felt good, performed awfully. iMac did not recognise drive when connected and unable to play cd's. However it did play when dvd inserted?? why not both. Clearly not a driver issue as none are included and unable to find anything on the web net. Tried it in macbook and same issues. Contacted Apple support and they think it's a driver issue. So had to go and buy Apple superdrive at 3x's the price! On the +ve side it looks like it's a quality product and arrived within 24 hours of ordering.

Very quick delivery. External drive works very well with cd's, not used it with dvd's yet but don't expect any problems. Good strong build with front slot loading makes this a very easy item to place on work service.Would recommend this product and at this price a bargain

Necesitaba un lector de DVD para mi iMac y este lector externo funcionó a la perfección, es rápido en la lectura, tamaño pequeño y por el color combina muy bien con cualquier producto Apple. Lo recomiendo.
