You can't find this in stores but everyone loves it
These are favorites among licorice lovers. I took them to work put them on my desk in a candy dish, and it was empty within the hour. This disproves that people do not like black licorice.

Not happy
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I ordered before and it was delicious unfortunately it must have been too hot while shipped it arrived discolored and very unappetizing looking the black licorice part stained out onto the color parts.

WOW - Fresh!!!
Delivered early, no hassles. I have tried 3 other sellers of this product - all were hard, stale and lacked the amount of flavor of these. I have found my supplier now! ..although, sadly, it looks like it is already out of stock. I may just order the 5 lb package. If it is as fresh as the 2 lb it won't go bad!I highly recommend these over any of the others here on Amazon.

Not the same licorice it used to be
This licorice used to be so good. I’d ordered it multiple times from this same listing, but it’s a completely different type now and the quality is much worse. There’s hardly any licorice in it and the sugar coating doesn’t taste good and has a weird texture. Very disappointing and won’t be ordering again.

Cheap, but very sweet
What is called "licorice" varies greatly between products. In candy, the best is Dutch. I grew up with Bassett; 's Licorice Allsorts which is my reference. These Smaty Stop Allsorts are very different from Bassett's/Maynards' Allsorts, both in composition and taste. The pieces are nothing like the traditional Allsorts and do not warrant the name. But the main issue is that they are extremely sweet which also hides the licorice flavor. If you have never tried licorice candies before, these will be OK, but they pale in taste and flavor to the other brands, from the traditional Bassett's to Gustav's. If you love licorice, spend the $$ and buy the more expensive, but superior, brands.

Not quite the right flavor for Allsorts
These candies sort of all taste the same - when I was expecting some brown ones, some plain licorice that has a bite to it, and some filled licorice where the center sort of melts on your tongue. And don't forget the coconutty ones! But not these allsorts. Will buy a different kind next time.

Don’t waste your money
I am a licorice lover of long standing and have rarely eaten licorice that I didn’t enjoy. This is some kind of sweet concoction that doesn’t taste like licorice, at all. The flavor of the stuffings or wrapping of pieces was a disappointment. I’ll say don’t waste your money. I made the mistake of looking at the product’s almost 5 star ratings without reading them. READ before purchasing…most of the 5 star ratings aren’t for the licorice product at all. I won’t make the same mistake again… this is some kind of licorice added flavor. It’s just sticky and sweet. Save your money until you find REAl licorice. UGH!
