Live in Las Vegas 1995

This CD is from a 1995 radio broadcast so the sound quality is quite good. Also, the set list is dreamy for a a dyed-in-the-wool HEART fan. It contains several songs I've never heard/seen live. Though they could have omitted "All I Wanna Do" (and did, permanently, after re-forming in 2002) as I've never liked that song (and, apparently neither do Ann and Nancy).This has to be one of the last HEART shows before their seven year hiatus. While being AFTER "The Road Home", they've assembled another Rock version of HEART and they sound great. There's no 80's stink on this one so, if that's your bag, pass on this. Put this on a good stereo, get in the right head space, and enjoy. I can't see you being disappointed. I'd love to see more of these radio concerts pop up on CD.

Just a guess but it seems like this was digitally recorded and then transferred to vinyl more recently. The low end is bit muddy and the high end is extremely bright. However, you can mitigate the effects with equalization. The concert itself is great and Heart's musicianship is awesome. I would be curious to hear the cd version of this to compare the two recordings at a later date. For me, it was still a worth while purchase on vinyl even with the shortcomings of the vinyl transfer.
