Really, just the best
I have used these clips for years for all kinds of things around the kitchen, including chips and frozen foods, sometimes clipping more than one bag together at a time.Every so often I have to buy another batch after several wander off to family and friends. Sometimes I'll get pre-cut sizes; at other times I get just long ones and cut them as needed. For a time these weren't available, so I tried the colored imitations. Those are not as thick. They work fine; I just like these better, despite the price.

Good alternative to the typical chip-bag clip. Saves space
This product provides a way to temporarily seal a bag of chips, or any type of plastic bag or foil bag. It is an improvement over the typical clamp-type butterfly clip. It seals better, and takes up less space, and is not likely to get knocked loose accidentally. They seem very sturdy. In our freezer, the half-finished bags of frozen veggies are kept sealed with these closures. In the pantry cabinet, we are using these for chip bags, of course, but also to hold a bag of cereal closed, even if still inside the cardboard box. They take up very little space when in use, if the length of the clip is matched to the size of the bag opening or bag width. Each "clip" consists of 2 pieces: a cylindrical rod and a U-shaped trough. For some reason each clip has one piece being longer than the other; maybe that makes it easier to peel them apart, when opening the bag. These bag clips are available in various sizes and set groupings. This specific "Variety 10 Pack" is a good choice for the average household (although we later decided to buy more). This set has 4 different sizes; approximate measurements are listed below:14" rod and 12 1/2" U-shaped trough, "large" size.10 1/8" rod and 8 5/8" U-shaped trough, "medium" size.6 5/8" rod and 5 1/8" U-shaped trough, "small" size.6 1/8" rod and 5 5/8" U-shaped trough (BTW, this size is thinner in diameter than the others. This might be what they are calling the "tweener" size?).The package contains at least 2 of each size, and 3 for some sizes (I can't remember which).BTW, there is also a "Variety 3 Pack" which might appeal to very cautious first-time buyers:ย Clip-n-Seal Bag Clips - Variety 3 Pack ย However, this "Variety 10 Pack" is a better deal than that. For me, the clips are not too hard to use, even though I am not strong. They are made of just the right type of plastic that has enough flexibility to be usable, but not so flexible that they slip out of place.I would recommend these for most people, with an exception: I would not recommend these for someone who has significant arthritis in the hands. That is my only reason for deducting a star.

Expensive but worth it.
Purchased one set, bought two more. Considering two more sets.I'm giving them a 5 on Durability, the design lends it's self to being indestructible, with one exception. If your dog chews on them, they don't hold up. But I cut the end off and put it back in use. Shorter but no harm or foul. Why would I buy them at the, since not a clip no spring to break. The plastic is mailable enough to deal with wrinkles in the bags and expand over the bag and seal.Design ensures the bag is sealed and doesn't FALL OR SLIP OFF unlike every other bag type clip I've found. Expensive per say, yes but a bag of chips is $5, stale chips are worthless.Other than being thrown out or chewed these should easily pay for themselves.

A great idea that works
I HATE HATE HATE the various "bag clips" that are normally sold in local stores. You know the type, very cheap plastic clips that really don't have a whole lot of spring force, and are mostly useless on large size bags since they only clip the middle. I hate to sound like one of those informerical guys who can't figure out how to seal a bag, but seriously, on a large bag of pretzels, the best option is to only open the corner so you can seal it with a small clip. So when I saw an "ad" for these on the Amazon home page, I figured I'd give them a try.Yes, they work, yes they seal VERY well, yes you can open the whole bag, and these will seal the whole thing closed. There are some very long clips in the package, the longest is more than enough to clip closed a large bag of popcorn, and the smaller ones work great for bread bags, single sleeves of crackers, etc. This is a great idea that works. And they're seriously easy to use, I don't think there's a lot of "muscle" needed to clip it closed or re-open. I tried the seal out by cutting the top of a large zip-seal bag, putting water in it and closing with the long clip. You can turn it over, around, lie it down on the counter, no leaks.Great product.

5 years and nothing is better
I bought these 5 years ago and they are hands down the best in terms of seal and durability. They're still holding up well. I've gotten a set for my mom and now my aunt is asking about it. I like the different sizes, wish I could buy individual ones but they are in constant use either way- for oatmeal, cereals, sugar, etc. I was looking up my purchase to send the link to my aunt and I'm surprised it's not like 5K reviews of 5 stars- good product.

tight
The clips were a little different than the ones I bought a long time ago and were so tight to close that I have difficulty.

Solid seal - but fiddly
These are great when installed, but my family can't figure out how to drive them.Use for lower use items, be prepared for sliding shenanigans.

Bag clips
I really like these bag clips. They do seem to keep the food fresher and I like being able to keep my snacks in their original bag. Putting them in plastic doesn't taste the same to me. The large ones are a little too long for my cabinet unless I put them in horizontally (to fit cereal bags) but they do work well. If you have arthritis these may be a little difficult to snap on and off but other than that they are great. I am going to order more for my family. I would have given 5 stars if they were easier to snap on but then maybe they wouldn't work as well. If your hands are not a problem this won't affect you.

5 star product but the price is high!
The good: Simple, bulletproof product. No problems with durability or re-usability. Keeps bags very well sealed, exactly as advertised. This type of clip is utilized by military-grade hydration packs making this seal based on a proven design. I've submerged bags in water with these clips attached and they were indeed watertight! I use these around the house for all the usual suspects and to create improvised dry-bags for camping. The bad: Nothing. The ugly: Expensive. Too expensive for what it is.I have trouble recommending these at full retail($18 CAN) and it cost the Clip-n-Seal Bag Clips a star. If these were 2/3's the current price then I think this would be a 5 star product at a reasonable price.

Skeptical at first but pleasantly surprised!
When this first arrived I thought I had wasted my money. It looked too simple to work. However after using them for a month I think these are the best way to keep a bag sealed! The variety of sizes is perfect. My food ( mostly cereal, chips and cracked ) has never stayed as fresh as the first time opening before.
