The media could not be loaded. Awesome rc car! The ground clearance and power is great. The battery life is long (≈45 min.). It climbs over steep hills and large rocks well. It also does well in the grass. Overall, it's a good buy.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my sons and they've given it a thorough testing in the last week. It has been in the pool three times, went down the stairs twice, and they've took it through the roughest terrain that we could find. The truck handled great over grass, rocks, and even a sand hill. It is still running like new, even after all the tumbles it has taken. I wasn't happy about the beating it has taken, and it isn't advertised as waterproof, but the point is that it can take quite a lot of punishment and keep going strong. I guess the boys saw the big tires and that it was a monster truck, so they figured it was indestructible. I wouldn't go that far, but it isn't far off.This truck is a lot of fun, especially at night. The LED headlights shine bright and make it easy to see where the truck is going. The battery has a long life- the boys left it sitting outside for hours without using it, and it still had juice left when we tried to use it later.Really only a couple of minor downsides in that the control took some getting used to for my boys and I wish the turning radius was tighter. However, for the durability, affordability, and headlights at night- this truck is a great value that will provide hours of fun for our family.

We were home and thought about our childhood and what we enjoyed doing back in the days. Our conversation steered towards remote control cars and that we always would have liked to get one. So we decided to browse through the tons of options on this webpage to find a good one for our kids to start with. We decided to give the DEERC a try.Box Opening:Everything was well packages in a styrofoam shell. It came with the RC car, 2 batteries, 1 screwdriver, 1 USB charger, 1 manual. Unfortunately the packaging ripped when we tried to get the RC car out. This is not a big deal, but if you are a box collector you want to use some love and care when sliding it out. We plugged in the charger for the battery and waited until it was fully charged. Then we hooked it up to the RC car and used some batteries for the Remote Control transmitter. Turned on both the car and the control, and it paired right away as described. We were all set and ready to go.Experience:We had the car out on the sidewalk, the lawn, gravel, mulch. It mastered all challenges and crawled without effort through these spaces. It is fun watching it doing this. The RC car is not very fast but I feel that it is a good speed for smaller kids to get used to it. You cannot control the speed as it only has on/off but this is expected in this price range. The battery lasted somewhere between 30-40 minutes and charged quickly. It is something you don't find very often. The overall structure of the car seems fine and we did not experience any physical breakages. But I would not use it for jump anyways. This is a crawler nevertheless.However we did have a problem with the steering motor after a few days where it would just stop working. I contacted DEERC customer service and they quickly replaced the car. The second car does not show any problems so far.Conclusion:I found it interesting that a RC car seems to help my kids with spacial thinking. In the beginning they kept running behind the car while steering. After a while they realized that it will also drive while one stands still. Interesting to see this progress. I removed a star because the first car broke down, but I have to state that their customer service was quick to help me out. Overall fun to drive and great value for the money.

I'm building a remote controlled electric golf caddy and I needed some electronics to make it work. This fills the bill. Before I cannibalized the electronics, I took it out for a test drive. With fully charged batteries, the range was well over 200 feet (line of sight) which is adequate for my application as I don't want it to go really far from me.And, yes, it's a bunch of fun. When my wife and I went for our daily walk around the neighborhood, I took this thing with me to see how it would operate. We had gone about 300 feet from our home when this little beast brought out the 8 year old in me. When she asked if that "thing" had to follow us all the way, I knew that was her way of kindly asking me to send it back home, which I did. I was able to control it all the way to our driveway where I made it go behind a bush until I got back.Pros: Easy to steer, fast, rugged tires, great range. An excellent value for an RC car.Cons: It turns retired guys into eight-year olds.

Truck work well but! RC truck included 2 rechargeable batteries but no charge cable/ adapter was included in the box! Bought for my grandson and took a bit of time for him to get it but without charger there was a bit of a challenge to operate it without a charged battery.I found other means to charge battery as I have a number of RC items but this “oversight”? On the vender part loosed points as far as I’m concerned.
