Great little cheap set - the magnets hold well, and folds up easily, and came with all pieces intact. Only gripe is that there's not a clip/magnet to hold the board flat when it's open (so if you're not on a perfectly-flat surface, the board will be bent open). But that's a small quibble and solved with a little bit of velcro, so I'm a happy camper.

It works great for my 9 year old son & I to play (he has beat me every time!) He loves that the pieces are magnetic and it's nice that the pieces fit nicely inside when not playing.

I wish the set was a bit bigger as once we put the pieces in Ziplock bags it is had to have the fit and close the folding case to put it back in the box.

Fine small set, looks like any other one sold like this. Just what I needed in a cramped space.

Very nice-looking chess pieces! I bought a similar magnetic chess set in 2014 but was a bit disappointed by the poor rook design back then. In the meantime, the rook (and also the queen and knight) design was clearly improved!

Excellent format, size, etc. Now I just have to learn how to play.
