Draw-Tite 76384 Class 3 Trailer Hitch, 2-Inch Receiver, Black, Compatable with 2020-2022 Jeep Gladiator

This was fairly easy to install. Just gotta ensure that once you tighten this all up but it is level with the bumper.. I would make sure you torque the bolts on the pitch

The hitch itself looks very solid and capable of doing the job. Installation was more difficult than I thought it was going to be as I have the steel rear bumper and there are 2 fasteners outboard of the front 1/2" bolts that makes it a challenge. Had a hard time getting the 1/2" rectangular plates past the bumper mount rivetnuts after removing the two smaller torx bolts holding the rear bumper and it was still difficult to get the rectangular plates past the rivetnuts in the cross tube. Once that was accomplished, I used 2 flat washers (temporarily held to the hitch plate with silicone sealer) on each of the 1/2" bolts to make the hitch level once installed. Fortunately, was still able to barely get full engagement on the 1/2" nuts. Was a bit of a pain , but did get it installed. Also, I only drilled a 1-1/2" hole in the plastic bumper cover for the 3/4" bolt to clear the socket wrench (instead of the 2-1/2" hole requested by Draw-Tite. This hitch is a lot more expensive than the Wrangler unlimited hitch and more difficult to install.... don't know why??

In order to thread the plates and screws as instructed, you first have to remove two Torx 50 size bolts, which hold the bumper cover. Even then, it’s difficult. After several failed attempts, I used 14 gauge wire to first pull the plates. I then use the bolt pullers provided to pull the bolts in place. However, when the hitches place in its proper position, and the main bolt tightened, there’s about a 10 mm gap between the hitch and the frame member where the two forward bolts are. This has to be shimmed. Otherwise, you cannot torque the bolts without bending something. This also leave these bolts borderline too short. It is not necessary to use any kind of hole cutter to remove the soft plastic on top of the bumper as directed. Just use a fresh number 11 blade on an X-Acto knife. First score it using a round object of your choice then poke the tip of the blade through repeatedly in a neat circle and you’ll be done in five minutes. However, you will then find that the 3/4” bolt provided is considerably smaller than the 1” hole in the bumper. You’ll have to buy a bushing somewhere. I got one at tractor supply. All in all, very disappointing. If you decide to buy this for whatever crazy reason, remember the Torx bit. Buy some half inch washers for shimming the two forward bolts. And buy a bushing for the main bolt.

Im not sure if their jig is off, or this is a one off issue, but the bolt holes lined up very poorly. I had to elongate the 2 smaller bolt holes to allow the one large bolt to have any chance at lining up. It seems like any type of QC would catch this. I could have had this installed in 10 minutes if it weren’t for this issue.

Like the product and easy install but it is not level when you put it on. Saw one guy have the same issue and use washers. Other than that I would recommend this to anyone that owns a jeep gladiator

This hitch seemed like an easy enough DIY installation accept that the bolt threads don't match up not allowing you to tighten the hitch down. The attachment shows that the bolt would only make to to the 1st thread. Where is the quality control?

All the holes line up BUT if you want it to be level you’ll need 3 washers on each side otherwise it will lean terribly. To use the lock washers you will also need longer bolts. As for cutting the plastic for the nut don’t follow the directions you can use a much smaller hole saw.
