Heartache
Roman is a frustrating character to read, he’s all over the place his actions are more like a female, by the looks of it he is also a candidate for a heart attack. How can he think that Bianca moving in with him will help his current situation, isn’t it best that he kept his distance from her which is what was happening anyway after he told her to GET OUT OF HIS HOUSE (this friendship is over), this would have shown his stalker that he is no longer friends with her. I also wonder if bianca enjoy being his whipping boy (girl, get a life, LEAVE and stop coming back)! I prefer my female characters not to wait around to hear the obvious.

Roman Harper, Lemme Holla At Ya!
Where do I begin with this review because I’ma tell you, I was screaming and yelling at my Kindle for a good 75% of it! The story revolves around this self-centered, somewhat shallow, messed up in the head, but deep down with a heart of gold, tortured artist (why are they all so troubled?) named Roman, and all the shit he puts himself and the people in his life through. I’m like, Dude, come on! You have blocking your blessings since day freaking one! You’ve got a life some would kill for, a couple of really good friends, and the woman of your dreams, but you are about to screw it all up because you can’t let go of the past and move on!Like I said, Roman is an up and coming artist with mad skills. He’s not only extremely talented, but extremely sexy, but extremely damaged. Because of past events, he is processing some internal trauma that has left him jaded in more ways than one. His family life is fubarred, and his love life fares no better. Roman doesn’t “do” relationships. He enters into mutually sexual agreements. The moment feels come into play, it’s a wrap. Oh, and to top it off, he has a stalker sending him cryptic, creepy emails containing declarations of love and promises of happiness.Roman keeps his circle tight and only lets in a select few. There’s Brad, Malik, and my girl Bianca, or B. Brad and Malik are used to his douche-y ways, but Bianca ain’t having it. She’s ride or die, and if she claims you as a friend, that’s what you’re gonna get in return-to the point of nuisancy (yeah, I made that up) at times, but you feel for B because her home life is effed up too. Her parents front like they’re the Huxtables, but are really more like The Bundys-but with money. Bianca needed closeness and to feel loved, and Roman had his head so far up his ass that he couldn’t even see it. Instead, he pushed her away. But for all of this, I was routing hard for Roman. And for B. And for Roman and B. Arghhhhhh!!!While this mad rant sounds like I hated the book, I actually didn’t. Books that strike a nerve with me-good or bad, is a good book. Any book that has you screaming like a fool and shaking your head like a morocco is a good book. I actually did have a soft spot for Roman. He just drove me absolutely nuts for most of the story, but I won’t tell you if he redeemed himself or not. This is where you click and find out for yourself!Final rating: 4.5 stars. I took off half because I got a sore throat and a minor case of whiplash ;)

Interesting
3.5-4 stars. Roman Harper is a successful and talented artist. His work is gaining him a bit of fame and recognition, which is every artist's dream come true so life is good...only professionally, that is. Outside of Roman's career, he is a closed up clam. Some heavy things went down in his past 8 years ago and as a result, Roman doesn't let people in, particularly women. However, that doesn't stop other females from trying to break past his wall.In the meantime, Roman starts receiving anonymous messages that are less than innocent in nature, making him wary about his private life and all the details that he purposely keeps hidden. But as this person continues to infiltrate his past and present, Roman has to decide if enough is enough and that regardless of his feelings, he needs to protect those who are at risk and to discover who is behind this once and for all.I liked Roman, but he seriously gave me whiplash with his back and forth. This entire book is in his POV so it's a front row seat to all of the issues that weigh him down and prevent him from truly opening up. He has people around him who try to reason with him or knock sense into him but Roman can be stubborn and tight-lipped when he wants to. As for the actual reasons why he is so distrustful and unwilling to open up, I could empathize with him on that, it would change a person for sure. The stalker scenario was interesting, I liked the mystery behind it. As for Roman's confrontation that he is better of with love in his life rather than warding it off at all costs, that felt slightly anticlimactic because he didn't really have to do anything to prove himself.

Suspenseful and Sexy
Let me start by saying I LOVED Roman. He is simply amazing. There are times when you want to grab him and shake him and tell him to man up, and then hug him afterwards because he is just so sweet. Roman is talented, and sexy, and sweet, as I mentioned. This causes women to fall all over themselves over him, which is completely understandable. He always lets them off easy, and is polite as possible, and he thinks that they understand, until he is being stalked.Danielle Allen does an amazing job at keeping you guessing who the stalker may be. There is a short list of potentials, and all of them seem to be perfect candidates. Roman and his friends, particularly Bianca, are trying to figure out who this woman might be. Figuring out the stalker isn't the only suspense in the book.We learn early on that Roman has trust issues and doesn't let a lot of people get close to him because of some issues in his past. When the secrets from his past are revealed, his lack of trust is understandable. He needs to heal, and the one person who may be able to help him with that is right by his side, but the pain and guilt may be to much for him to let her in.Heartache is a story of friendship, love, and healing. Definitely recommend.

Heartache.. Roman/Bianca almost gave me a heartache!!
Heartache was as the title conveys. The story of Roman and Bianca was so filled with such a heart wrenching plot that at time it felt very Real... Roman was an artist trapped inside his head about feeling unworthy of love. Roman's circle of friends was very small, one that included Bianca as the only female. Over the years Roman and Bianca became best friends, until one day after the break up with one of Romans flings he noticed Bianca.. really noticed Bianca. Most of Roman's problems stemmed from his dysfunctional relationship with his half-brother and the lifelong lie he overheard his parents arguing about. So Roman had severe trust issues with everyone. When a strange woman starts stalking Roman via packages and creepy emails, Bianca and Roman set out to solve the mystery with several suspects on the lists. In their time spent together Bianca succumbed to Romans magic spell, and the tug of war between Romans heart and his head exploded into an oblivion of stupidity when he pushed Bianca away... but not until after he slept with her. Fortunately, the story did not end on this sore note, as you will discover they might one day find happily ever after- but it will be a battle...This story was a god read indeed.. You will enjoy it.
