Desal DESAL-CTA-16 Reverse Osmosis Membrane - 16 Gallon

This part description and photo are both incorrect. The picture and description indicate that this is a CTA-16 membrane when it is in actually a CTA-16-C. The "-C" at the end is very important since it designates a special version of membrane designed specifically for Culligan RO systems and is not compatible with industry standard RO filter housings. If you install this membrane in a standard non-Culligan RO housing, the water will simply divert through the center tube and completely bypass the filter making the filter non functional and worthless.In this -C membrane, the center tube is open from one end to the other with double o-ring gaskets on both ends. In a standard CTA-16 RO membrane, the center tube is blocked off in the center so water can only flow through the end that has the double o-rings.

Worked as advertised. Nice and cost effective replacement RO membrane.
