Perfect Dive Watch
I have been diving for over 30 years with probably two to three thousand dives under my belt including such places as Belize, the GBR, Raja Ampat, Sharm el-Sheikh, the Mediterranean, Mexican caves, and on and on. I’ve never bought any dive gear till this year, choosing to rent instead. I like to travel super light. After a recent dive trip to Hawaii to do the Black Water and Manta dives off the big island, my wife and I finally decide to buy a few simple things: a dive computer, a mask, and fins. We were tired of sometimes getting crappy equipment wherever we rented and we can still travel light with these items. For a dive computer I wanted something that told me a few simple things: how deep I was, how long I was under, and how long I needed to deco before surfacing. It would be nice if I could use it for nitrox tanks too.I didn’t want bells and whistles, and a thousand dollar dive watch that would take days to learn how to use and with functions I didn’t need. So many of my friends have gotten these things and they never learn how to use them, and then they sit in their garage for a couple years between dives. The only functions they ever needed are the ones I just mentioned. This watch is perfect. Its the google of watches. Simplicity. It does every single thing you need a dive watch to do, is super easy to learn and use, durable, and inexpensive. It’s got a simple screen to look at without numbers all over it that you don’t know or care what they mean. It gives you all the info you need for your dive. You can also change your settings for Nitrox tanks if you want to, very easily. We just came back from Bonaire where we did three dives a day with this watch. Worked perfectly.Whether you’re a novice diver or been diving for years, this watch will serve every purpose you need in a watch. I highly recommend it.

Affordable / Simple / Effective
Purchased in 2024 and have 10 dives under my belt with it.Positives:- Simple- Works well. Has max depth, avg depth, start time, bottom time, and water temp- Will extend your dives verses uses rec dive tables- Cheap- Large Screen- Large Fonts- Turns on when you jump in the water- Battery is super cheap and easily replacedNegatives:- Only has one button, so a little clunky to navigate menus- It is a basic dive watch; don't expect it to be anything more than that- Wrist band is really long; other reviewers liked that, but it is way too long for my normal sized wrist, even in a wet suite- Directions weren't entirely clear, but was able to figure out how to use it from various YouTube videos- Positive and/or Negative: screen turns itself off, which saves your battery life, but also complicates copying your dive log- No air integration (but doesn't mean anything for me)- You won't ever use this as a watch (but also doesn't mean anything to me)I rated 4 out of 5 because this is a great, cheap dive computer. If you have simple requirements, it is the ideal dive computer. However, I also purchased the Mares Smart Air, and for just a little more money, you can get a more sophisticated computer that has two buttons and is easier to use. And the Smart Air offers air integration. If two buttons or AI doesn't matter, then save you $$ and buy this watch. Otherwise, get the Smart Air (both are by Mares)

Mostly bad luck
Purchased one Puck Pro and have had excellent luck though the single button functionality is always difficult to use and hasn't gotten much easier with lots of practice. Second purchase for my wife of a Pro Plus provided a unit that wouldn't seal up the battery compartment so fresh batteries would corrode after single dive. Returned to Amazon and (foolishly) purchased another. Worked ok first dive trip but second dive trip 8 months later battery compartment leaking in replacement unit.Too late to return now !!!No customer service through Mares at all. Cannot locate source for new O-ring. Now stuck with $300 paperweight. All this and the first one still working fine - but I still find it frustrating to use post dive.
