Some lovely lights, warm tone, not too bright, just a nice glow. Weather in the UK very unpredictable and since we have had a very cloudy 2 months they ran out of juice. Charged it via the usb charging port over night and good as new. If it didn’t have this they wouldn’t be worth buying in UK.

Very impressive

Bought these for our garden and they do look amazing. Bulbs are meant to have a shelf life of 50,000 hours or something but they don’t. We only put our on for an hour or 2 at night and not every night and most of our bulbs are out and have been for a few months. One bulb went on fire too, we could see smoke and the plastic cover was going black and when it cooled and we took the bulb out it was black. I’ve tried looking for replacement bulbs, it says s14 but when you search for these they don’t all have the same pins. I have also tried to find a way to contact the company to ask about replacement bulbs but can’t find anywhere that allows me to do this. The products isn’t available so can’t even buy another to use the bulbs. Not sure I would buy again based on how incredibly difficult it is to get new bulbs. Any I have seen that may be the same are expensive and you only get 6 bulbs and we need 40 so we have a few spare.

To start off, these are not rubberized but more PVC, the caps where the bulbs (lamps) go are not E27 std, they are a molded 2 pin (see pics with a plastic outer shell that screws about a turn and half onto the molded caps (they are about the same size as some E27 lamps but you can not use any E27 lamps as these fittings are proprietary. So finding replacement lamps will be hard because at the time of writing this review, the seller nor any other listing on Amazon sell them. The only way would be to buy a second set of and cannabises the lamps.This being said, the plastic outer shell on each lamp is better than glass, the 2 pin LED lamp inside is good, the lamp colour render is warm white but not vintage white like those romantic lamps you see, Vintage white are 827-1000 kelvin colour render (these are around 2500 kelvin, same as incandescent light bulbs).I like this festoon because you can paint out the outer shell and the lamp with Transparent model paint (orange and smoke) to get the vintage effect, it means some work but the effect is as my photo.. To achieve a warm look I painted out (I used TAMIYA Acrylic paint X-26 clear orange & X-19 smoke, mixed full orange pot to 1/3 smoke) the plastic shell from inside using an artist paint brush 8mm (so no weathering) and the LED lamp (one by one, took about an hour).38 lamps (plus 2 spare) come with the set and they consume 65W making each lamp (65/38=1.7w) 1.7 watts.For the price I think these are one of the best on Amazon for the possibilities, power consumption and lengthThe lead to the first light is short and there is a special plug/socket on that starting section so you can thread through a hole (about 20mm) in your wall (the lead is only about 500mm to the wall plug). see photo.I would give it 5 stars but it fails on colour render (most people want that warm vintage look (these are bright), no replacement lamps available on Amazon and the lead at the start is well too short (should be at least 3m). So it only gets 4 Stars.I hope this helps.

Bought to replace normal filiment bulbs that wee slowly failing. These led ones screwed straight in, don't get anywhere near as hit as the old filament types did and produce slightly more light too.So far the first ones I fitted have been in 6 months now and are still going. I've replaced all the old ones finally and even thought the bulbs have different usage times they don't show signs of changing colour or fading out.

Aug 2020 - First impressions - these are a surprisingly bright and aesthetically pleasing product and the only initial downside was the shortness of the cable between the plug and first lamp. However I decided to leave it for a while before reviewing to see how the product would fair during the summer and sadly the answer is not well with five bulbs failed already and the weather hasn't even been poor. These bulbs are advertised as lasting 50,000 hours which is clearly not the case in "the real world". I hoped, given this is quite an expensive purchase, the quality and longevity would be better but I am left disappointed and therefore would not recommend hence 2 star review.**UPDATE Nov 2020** So I am encouraged by three things: firstly, no further bulb failures despite a turn in the weather so perhaps I was just unlucky on the first batch; secondly, customer services proactively picked this review up (took a little time but I am going to blame COVID for that) and sent replacement bulbs FOC and finally, replacement bulbs are also now available to purchase on Amazon (£10 for 4 so not cheap but at least they are available). Given these factors, I think it is fair to increase my review to 4 stars with a cautionary note that you may suffer early bulb failure but if you do I suggest you directly contact the customer support team (details in your order)

I’m having difficulty in find an extension cable for the remote sets I’m wanting to use seeing as I have 3 sets now ( so 2 spare plugs/remote sensor and remote controls)Length between plug and 1st bulb is about a metre or less depending on how situatedAll lights work together but OXYLED customer support have been no help at all about the extension cable I really need
