Good, if not a Great Charger if your are lucky and realistic about its capabilities
Seems from reviews published here this charger is a hit or miss for many people. I took a chance and bought one, I have to say that I might be lucky in that I have not experienced any of the issues that others has reported. I have been using this charger as the primary office charger for my Surface 3 Pro, QC3.0 enabled phone and Amazon Fire HD7 Tablet with great results. It does not make a buzzing noise, and charges all 3 devices at the same time with advertised speeds. However, I think people who are looking at this charger must be realistic in what they're buying. This charger DOES NOT charge as quickly as the OEM charger. I was able to put this to the test by completely draining my surface ( less than 1%, battery icon flashing when powering on). This charger could not power on and charge my Surface 3 Pro at the same time when max power was needed, I needed to let it charge for 10 minutes before I can power my surface on again. Just for reference, the OEM Surface charger did not have this problem. This, however, was not an issue for me as I rarely let me surface discharge to such a low level, during normal usage, it is capable of charging from 20% to full in about 3 hours while powered on. Given the convenience of charging ports offered, it has completely replaced my surface, phone and tablet chargers, but I feel like, based on other reviewers, the quality of the charger needs to be improved. An additional side-note, I don't feel like this charger is good for any Core i7 based Surfaces, or Surface Book that has a dGPU base due to the limited power it pushes to the Surface charging port (it is stated 12V, 2.58A, which translate into just 30Whr of power), at this level, it would barely be enough to support the i7-6500U CPU that needs between 7.5Whr to 25Whr of power. I would recommend this charger to be used for Surface 3 or 4 Pro tablets that has an i3, m3 or i5 CPUs.

Possible fire danger
I have been using this charger for the last 6 months. Initially, I kind of liked it. I has the quick charge capability for my phone, as well as having another port open for other items to be charged. Since day one I have had to try and get used to the VERY bright light on the end of the charging cord going to the Surface. Unlike the original Microsoft charger, it NEVER goes off whether you are charging or not. I thought it wouldn't bother me after a while, it still does. But the deal-breaker has just been noticed in the last month. Normally, I have the tv or music playing in the background while I am on the computer. I noticed a bit ago when I hadn't turned on any background noise yet, that the charger is making an internal noise that I can only describe as a quiet, repeating, shorting / crackling sound from within the case. I believe that there was another review of this unit that caught on fire; originally I discounted it, but now I believe it! I do not leave this unit plugged in for any length of time, and I will not charge the computer any more while I am not in the room. I guess I will need to look for another more reliable unit. Too bad that their quality control is poor.

Charger seemed okay at first, but I've noticed some ...
Charger seemed okay at first, but I've noticed some serious issues.1. Tons of electrical noise. This means that multi-touch on the trackpad while the charger is plugged in often glitches out and sends the cursor all over the place. It will also occasionally stop responding at all for about a second. I have definitely confirmed that these issues are caused by the charger. (Note, these issues could potentially be safety issues as well. I don't know enough about electronics to confirm or deny whether there really are safety issues, but a friend may help me determine that soon at which point I will update this review)2. The contacts on the end that plugs into the surface have already started to wear out after only three months. They haven't stopped working yet but I bet they will soon.

SLOW, UNreliable, INconsistent, now making loud buzzing noise!
This was a good idea for a product. Too bad the quality is so poor.I needed a second charger for my new Surface Pro 4. This one had a great price and included QuickCharge which works with my Moto X Pure phone.-Charging time is slow, very slow, takes about twice the time as the Microsoft charger.-Charging is not reliable - will often charge for a short time then the Surface will show that the charger is plugged in but not charging.-The charger is now making a noticeably LOUD buzzing noise, perhaps some kind of short inside. I am afraid to connect my Surface to it anymore.Again, great idea but this product does not work as it should and could possibly damage your Surface or be an electrical hazard.

Looks really good. Does the job.
Very compact, looks very sturdy, seems well made all around. Pity it does not work :-( SEE UPDATE BELOW....The LED at the computer end is on ALL the time. Should switch on when successfully connected like the Microsoft one does. The indicator on the computer changes when you plug this in to show it is connected, but it also displays "Not charging" (or something similar). Will be returning this unit. Guess that is what I get for buying a device that had no Amazon reviews. Someone has to be first though :-)UPDATE 9/13/2016: Manufacturer contacted me after I left this review and offered to send me a replacement. I agreed, and the replacement arrived yesterday. I charged my Surface Pro 4 overnight last night successfully. I did not study too closely how fast it charged, but if it fully charges (from around 15%) overnight, that suits my needs.I would give 4.5 stars if I could, as the unit does the job and looks and feels very sturdy. My only complaint is that the LED on the connector stays lit all the time. You can plug in the Microsoft one in the dark, and know it is connected by the LED lighting up. This one does not have that positive feedback, but I guess that may add cost to the unit. If the manufacturer is reading this, I would pay a bit more for that feature.Excellent customer service.

PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK
DO NOT BUY! I purchased this after I lost the original charger for my Surface Pro 4. Qualcomm charge never worked, the trackpad would go haywire every single time the charger was plugged in making it impossible to use the Surface when it was charging, the charging time was far slower than the original, and there was always electrical noise whenever it was used. I figured I would keep it until my new Microsoft charger came in and then use it as a last-resort backup. Plugged it in today, and there was a loud POP sound. Disconnected it, and it seems like this thing just fried itself as it won't charge anything anymore and now my Surface keeps glitching so I suspect it fried something there too. And of course, this happens a week after the return period closed, so I can't even ask for a refund. Once again - fair warning, if there are ANY alternatives, buy those instead. This charger is downright dangerous.

Slow charger makes my surface useless.
The charger doesn't work well. Whenever plugged in it interferes with my trackpad, making my laptop useless.Charges very slowly.
