This is a beautiful fire pit when looked at from a distance or on the website. When you get a little closer you will see the flaws. The ring around the pit comes in 4 sections and is not seamless, this makes the unit look a little cheap. The screened top is on the thin side and does not look like it will hold up in the long run. A few screws came stripped out easily so take caution when assembling.I have had this pit for a few weeks and it works well. The deep design and suprising large diameter of this pit is what makes it great. The open side design makes great fires, large or small. I added a little sand to the bottom of this pit to help with heat deflection which helped but be sure to turn the sand after it gets wet or it will ensure a rusty bottom. If your wife wants a pretty pit and you want one that makes good fires then this is the pit for you. My wife loves it and I can make some serious fire. I gave it the 4 stars for the quality, it is not as well built as others I have seen in this price range but all in all a good fire pit.

Ok, let me start off by saying, I bought this pit as a gift for my husband (then boyfriend) almost 5 years ago. We take this fire pit with us every time we go camping, and use it around home also. While it isn't used super often (avg. 4-5 fires a month) it has been put to the test with some ROARING fires during early spring and late fall campouts! The finish could be better, as it is painted. Now the majority of the paint has burned off, but the metal is still in great shape. My husband is planning on refinishing with a hi-temp paint, but just hasn't gotten around to it yet. The outer ring is fantastic, as the entire pit can be picked up and moved with a fire in it. As far as the top screen, I can say that it leaves something to be desired. Then only time we use it, is if we have already let the fire die down some and are going inside for the night. When we tried to use it with a normal fire in the pit, the screen began glowing red-hot in a short time and began loosing it's shape! All in all, this is a great pit, and we have definitely gotten my money's worth out of it. If/when ours wears out, I'll definitely purchase another if they are still available!

Pros: it is HUGE!!!! I can easily burn 2 foot logs in it, it is super sturdy at one point I had it full to the brim with wood and I put two 5 foot logs on top of that quote unquote for testing purposes : ), the heat is able to radiate out through the sides good for keeping warm on winter nights, I found the grate to be useless for me so I re-purpose it (I cut it in half and welded iron rods on the ends to use it as a cooking surface over the fire pit), the bronze finish makes it look like it is rusty but I liked it makes it look like it’s been in my back yard for a while.Cons: the lid is keep and warped after the second use, there is no way to neatly dump the ashes (I have to scoop it up with a plastic bottle that I cut in half, and there are 3 screws at the bottom that you have to work around), because it is so big and heavy when it is full of ashes I can’t move it around/ out of the way by myself,Additional comments: if you plan to leave it outside I strongly recommend getting a cover for it (that’s how I lost my previous fire pit). because this was my second fire pit I already had a fire poker to use for lifting the lid.

Great Fire pit. The screened sides allow ample heat to come out laterally and is fairly solid. We have been burning in it almost nightly for a couple of weeks now. It has a couple of issues with the design / manufacturing. First it only has three legs. Didn’t think about it much before I purchased but with the round bar running around the top, if you put much weight at all on it, the fire pit tips sideways. The screen cover is a little short of fitting properly on the top of the pit. The supplied grate is way too small of gauge of wire and is already significantly warped from the heat. I would suggest getting a better grate for the bottom. The specifications do not tell you the pit inner dimensions to replace the grate, but it is 27”. I would recommend the pit as long as the tip factor is taken into account.

I had read reviews stating that a lot of people received the item damaged. I figured what are the chances. Apparently pretty good as mine arrived dented. Not horrible but enough to be annoying. Contact Amazon and they of course offered to change it out, but I really needed it for an event. They offered compensation for the damage.The item is made as well as can be expected for a pit that cost this much. The cover is not exactly the same size as the fire pit itself so it doesn’t sit proper on top.It does throw a good amount of heat so I am happy about that. If I get 3 or more years out of it I will be happy.

My wife picked this one out for the back patio. Went together easy and works great. The ring around the top is nice if you need to move it and tends to not get hot when a fire's burning. I think the part I like the best about this one is the openings in the sides allowing the fire to breathe and the heat to radiate. The top is pretty lightweight and you'll want to be gentle with it to keep from bending or denting it. We only put that over ours at the end of the evening when the fire is down to coals. Definitely one of the better pre-made fire pits we've owned.

Great size, lots of air and good heat. This is a great little fire pit, well it's not really little but it is good.

Received on time. Quality price OK However rust is a problem with this type of product.

Fire pit looks nice, unfortunately it came missing about half of the screws. They are sending me more which won't arrive for nine days.

I love how you can rest your feet on the surrounding rail and warm your toes ... carefully. :)

Puts off a lot of heat.....very good product
