UrthLens Mount Adapter: Compatible with Konica AR Lens to Sony E Camera Body

I’ve yet to find a Contax G to E-mount adapter that doesn’t leak some amount of light during a 30 second exposure at f/4 and ISO 8000, but this adapter leaks from two places while others e.g. Fotodiox only leaks from one. Hence 2-stars for this adapter and 3-stars for Fotodiox.All the adapters leak light at the boundary between the mount and the adapter, which could be avoided if they used a felt surface instead of hard plastic. But this adapter also leaks light from under its lens release tab. In both cases, I simply used blu-tack to fill in the gaps much like grout and this workaround is fine for me as I use one adapter per lens and there’s no reason to separate them except if the lens needs servicing, i.e. they’re more or less permanently attached.Any company that solves these problems will get a well-deserved 5-stars from me.

It fits, (between a Sony A6300 and a canon kit lens) but is pointless as it wont allow me to change F stops. I will have to return it. If anyone knows why this, perhaps it's not a permanent issue. For me anything to do with the lens, is not supported. The adapter only holds the camera body to the lens. All functions are lost and without aperture it's useless.

This is quite good for attaching Full Frame A mount lenses to Sony E Mount cameras.The only issue is that the electronics cannot connect from the lens to the camera with this mount, so the lens becomes a manual lens - which can be annoying for lenses with electronic focus rings. Apart from that, it is quite cheap and fits the part, so can't complain at all.

I have a shiny new Sony camera. I also have a very old Canon film SLR with three lenses - the Canon 50mm that was included, and a couple of third party lenses, a 28-70 and a 75-205.This looked like a great way to rescue my old lenses.Unfortunately, it only works with the Canon. The other two secure to the camera body slightly differently - rather than rotating the lens until it locks, you rotate a ring until it stops. And I can't make them work with the adapter.Sad, but it's still given me an F1.8 Canon lens which is enough of a good thing that I'm going to keep the adapter anyway.

Typical Urth / Gobe high quality product. Extension ring is firm yet smooth and easy to adjust for accurate and quick focussing.Using this adapter also helps to increase the depth of focus and bokeh control which can contribute to better imaging and presentation as often DoF can be too razor thin.I don't what I'd do without it now!
